10 Sites + 9 Domains For Sale

This is my second batch of sites that I am selling, the last auction ended with someone using the Buy It Now feature, which is always nice to see.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=3805342640

Just like last time, these are entertainment related sites (except for 2 business sites) and they are advertising a TGP right now and sending some good traffic. If you've got any questions let me know, if you are just going to post snide comments, go ahead, they always amuse me.

10 Developed websites for sale as well as 9 domains. They combine for over 265,000 page views a month and generate about $200 a month in revenue

and for this you want Price: US $3,875.00

great deal :P

Head over to ebay, read their FAQ on what an auction is and the meaning of the Buy It Now feature, then come back and add something meaningfull to the discussion.

I assume by funny you don't mean haha funny (unless you are talking about JokeLoft) so I will assume you mean strange funny, which even then I am unsure what you mean by strange funny. They are all sites within established markets wtih average to above average site designs and a steady track record.

I believe that this batch of sites is a better package then the one I just sold on ebay, so I am a tad unsure where the remarks are coming from. I know what I should do, though how about I put up 15 popups, blind link everything to a porn site and then trade traffic with other sites by jerking around the surfer. Atleast then some of the people will understand how it makes money, because it's obvious that mainstream concepts are just beyond some people.

i cannot believe how much design work you invested in such websites

people that i know (who are looking for lyrics) are usually not willing to pay anything at all because they are only looking for a song text which explains why you only make 200 bucks a month on those sites
you should have invested that time searching for a real job which would have made you ten times as much money

Well it didn't take long for my prediction to come true, glad you could join us. Now that you are here, plan on elaborating on your comment? They obviously aren't "worthless" since that would imply zero worth, and consistent income rules out the possibility of zero worth. Now, "very little worth" is a possibility, but "completely worthless" is both inaccurate and technically false.

For all those people that love to slam people(domains/sites) when posted, how about you add a bit of analysis with your comment, it would of course be helpfull to everyone else, and may actually stop you from looking like a 12-year old who thinks they are a webmaster because they can make a gallery in Dreamweaver.

I am not sure how long it takes other people to do decent designs, but it's not like I spent 2 days working on a site design or the site. They were all done in the amount of time that I was willing to spend based on their projected revenue, and as of yet, I haven't been wrong on how much the site can make.

As for "you should have invested that time searching for a real job which would have made you ten times as much money" HAHA that was great, was the first comment that made me laugh out loud. Damn, if you think these are all the sites I operate and this is how I was living, hahaha thats funny. Now I am not going to fuck around and say I make 500k and drive 5 BMWs, cuz I don't, but I make enough doing what I do, to not have to work for someone else and to enjoy life, that is all I ask for.

Just a little under 5 days left in the auction, it is up to $650 or so, get your bids in while the bidding is good.

instead of laughing at my post you should have considered it to be some sort of honest remark
spening so much time on rather unimportant sites is simply inefficient.

achievement = work * time

if you would have invested that time into other projects it is possible that you would be able to drive 5 bmws

all i wanted to say is work more efficient cuz those sites were a waste on time combined to what they make imho

I have to disagree that they were not a good use of my time, because by creating 15-20 small sites I was able to use them (and their PR) to build up several other sites which made significantly more money. Before I started selling these sites off I could launch a new site and within a few days be in google placed fairly high and have a PR of 3/4 and that is with no cost or work on my part (outside of building the site).

Compare that to say building a site then either spending the time doing link exchanges or the cost of paying for links and you will see that building the smaller sites is significantly more cost effective.

Also, when selling links, I was able to offer clients a range of sites and niches to purchase the links on instead of just a couple of high traffic site. And when you are selling links (atleast in my case) traffic wasn't really an issue.

It was a model that worked well for me, and it may not work well for everyone, but I will take a few thousand dollars in revenue for a couple hours of work any day of the week.

Edit: I had to edit because it chopped off the last part of my message.

Rivux,

I hope you get the price you are asking. I always like to wish people good luck. I must say you are one dedicated person. I have never seen so much damn work done on behalf of $200 in my life. It's your right to do something as stupid as this seems, but damn if I will ever understand it. Just plain weird. I like a return on my work.

Bon Chance

Thanks, I appreciate the well wishes, though you are the third one to mention how it was a waste of time, which I don't understand.

Maybe I am dumb, I don't know, I've always considered myself someone of above average intelligence, but maybe I really am missing something. If I were to work out my total time spent on the sites compared to revenue, I was working for about $125/hr, which to me, doesn't seem like a waste of time. Maybe I just under estimate how much everyone else makes on this board, who knows, but I was happy with that kind of income off of those sites.

I'd buy them just for the traffic - to hell with the sites...

Are you accepting anything else besides PayPal? Can do International USPS Money Order (yes, the Orange ones you Brits can cash) credit card via someone other than PayPal or WesternUnion.

Let me know and I'll start bidding.

I will accept pretty much any form of payment (other then personal cheque cuz I don't feel like waiting 2 weeks for it to clear). Also, I'm not a Brit, I'm a Canadian

No I sold what I had left in the last auction. Though the deadbeat winner hasn't talked to me since the auction ended, even though we exchanged a dozen emails back and forth before he bought it. So I don't know whats going on with those, if I have to put them back up for sale I will let you know.

you're full of shit when it comes to how much time you spent on each of those sites. unless you just ripped off other sites the time to gather that shit was lot more time consuming than you want to let on. then to the design, even if they are templates u bought for cheap it still takes more than a couple hours to build those sites.

Pardon? For starters, all of those sites are custom built designs, none are template. Oh wait, PopRev.com is a template, that is the only one. As for how long they took me, none of the sites, except for JokeLoft took more then 4 hours to build from start to finish. JokeLoft took longer because it was a site I was updating on a regular basis for the first few months until I got sidetracked and left it alone.

Some took less then 90 minutes to build, 50cent-lyrics.com for example took a grand total of 85 minutes. Granted that was quick even for me, but I tend not to take too long to do a site once I decide on one. As well, I don't do most of the designs, I have someone else do them and he is a friend of mine and can do them quickly.

So how about you fuck off, and only open your mouth when you have somthing intelligent to say.

Just under 2 days left on the auction, high bid at about $1085. Bid away, or send me some mail if you have any questions.

Since song lyrics aren't public domain, how do you keep from being sued with sites like this?

Lyric site lawsuits are artist based (unless you own a large general lyric site in which case it could be from the record company), and so far no artists have been concerned about the sites I've created. It could be because they haven't seen them, or that they just don't care or more likely it is the same reason why the wwe doesn't care about the diva sites I did. Because I made them more money they I ever could have cost them, and they are aware of the sites and have left me alone.
