Branding is the key to successful marketing. If many items (from clothes, food, cars, etc) didn't have a certain branding, than nobody would buy it...Especially when a lot of those items have such large price tags.

I also can't really see myself picking a known real-estate giant's water over a company like Evian etc. who are known producers of water and nothing else.
