Yeah, if cash is gonna be a serious issue (even with conversion from the Euro, where you're gonna kill it!), forget Stanford, Cal, USC or even FUCLA. Stick with a different UC school if you can, or a Cal State school if you must.
I'd look real hard at UC Santa Barbara if lifestyle is a big consideration for ya -- good enough school in a great location might be a nice balance for you. It's on Cali's central coast, about 1.5 hours north of LA and 4ish hours south of SF/Bay Area. Best of both worlds -- better weather than the Bay, less crowded and more green than LA. And they still rage pretty damn hard at Isla Vista... :Graucho <br> |
ummm, just read Hoax's post. . . . Berkeley besides being pretty pricey, is extremely expensive for housing.
My daughter graduated from UCDavis, not too expensive, a great school, and housing is not too extreme. |

I'm stumped because really, I've never heard from GMAT before ever. I'm currently a student with the Erasmus University of Rotterdam, which is the best uni in the country and beyond for business. But it's a lonely place. I don't have any friends there and I hate going nowadays more and more. The test.. I will inform at Stanford what their requirements are. I'm still undergraduate. I can't seem to finish my bachelor here which is frustrating. |
Cal State Long Beach

If you want to stay in the Bay Area, San Francisco State University (my alma mater) has a fine business school. The state schools in general are easier for a foreigner to enter, and SFSU is about 45 from Hayward via BART. CSU Hayward, I don't know much about, except that we used to kick their butt at basketball.

Go to usnews.com. There is a complete list of B-school rankings and tuition, etc. Another information source is businessweek.
Use google more... BTW, UC Irvine isn't the best, I was just bragging... And it's not cheaper for foreigners. Try San Francisco State, or any other Cal State school, much cheaper than UC schools. |
Stanford, USC, UCLA, Pepperdine (gorgeous campus in Malibu :) )

May I ask how you plan on getting accepted to the best university? U must be one hell of a student

My alma mater is the greatest university on Earth. The University of California at Berkeley has produced more Nobel laureates than any other university in the world.

Imagine moving to Holland. I think you'd be stuck with the same problem. |
