i know someone that owns a paving company and he about had his finger ripped iff frim having his ring on. he made his employees take them off unless they signed a disclaimer saying he wasnt responsible if they got hurt and that they would have to pay their own bills from it.

wouldn't you have to prove that it's unsafe if one of them tries to dispute it? i mean, how can you convince someone the file cabinet is dangerous.. assuming it's an office environment.

Depends on what industry. In our Industry as a model i think it would be fair to ask your models not to wear their wedding rings. I assume they are trying to sell a product, and that is sex. Fans like it better when they feel a model is single and they might have a chanse to be with a girl like that. Even though it would never happen.
