Anybody who is interestd in a cheap cascading billing solution should buy our software (php/mysql) for only 1600 USD. It's a one time fee and you get the full source code with it.

if you would remove this from the affiliate sign up form you may have better results

10% is... umm... alot. The processors already eat up a ton of the profits, and when you figure in paying affiliates, buying content and plugins, paying for bandwidth, etc. that 10% is HUGE.

Another thing... you pay affiliates, right? But you only pay once a month AND you pay 28 days AFTER the end of the pay period? That means that if someone starts promoting a program on the 1st of the month, it'd be about two full months before he got his first check. I doubt many affiliates would go for that. I only use a couple of monthly sponsors, and I use them only rarely. My main sponsor pays weekly and my secondary sponsor pays twice a month. Recently there was a poll about this subject and a pretty big chunk said they preferred weekly payouts or at least every two weeks. The only people that really liked monthly seemed to be people with so much money that cashing a check more than once a month was just too time consuming for them!

Seriously. Lower that percentage and pay more often and you might get a few people signed up.

bignasty we will take that into consideration.

Alien, very professional commentary there, where did you learn those words in 2nd grade?

We have a system setup that ensures no cheating or shaving. Some webmasters are more than willing to pay 10% of their commissions for that sense of security for their program.

But we that is not all we do, unless you live under a rock, you have seen our clients get a lot or press and promotion. Couple that with software that has been in existence for seven years and the experience of helping thousand of clients and hundred of thousands of affiliates in the mainstream we will be a force to be reckon with in the adult industry.

In the works, cascading billing within three weeks and after that we will be rolling out our new tracking that we hase been a work in progress for over a year.

I would end this with a really smart remark like yours but I'm not feeling that low today

We've always made a practice of hearing what clients and visitors have to say about our services/site and business...including pricing.

BigNasty, thanks for the suggestion... join and I'll exclude you from all mailings

Tootie, we've just implemented bi-weekly payments and epassporte is only days away... so we're increasing our range of payment options.. I'm looking forward to this for affiliates

TabooRevenue is priced for the webmaster that would rather pay an honest 40%, than advertise 60% and shave 20% across the board to accomodate his overhead.

Additional services like affiliate payment help lower cost for you and the program promotion we do is something that independant webmasters don't have the time for, or budget to dedicate a human resource for.

We've some damn good affiliates, too

I think my coworkers covered it, but you really think that 10% is too much when you get not only software, but also someone to manage, promote and pay affiliates for you?

How long have you all been in this business and do you honestly consider it a business? You don't get something for nothing anymore. It requires a serious investment and lots of work.

Ask those who've been around for a while.

Bignasty, I do appreciate your feedback and it will be discussed. I do have a question, though. Why is it an issue for a company you've chosen to webmaster for to email you with new sponsors, special offers, helpful marketing material and opps to earn more cash? This is the whole reason behind it and I would like to know, honestly, why you avoid programs that offer such.

i get enough crap emailed to me everyday. personaly, to be emailed telling about new sponsors etc, is more of a bother to me than it is helpful. most sponsors have a page in their site with this info if i choose to look for it. i log in regularly to keep up with marketing materials etc that a sponsor offers. a lot of sponsors do send out mails like yours, however most of them are opt in or opt out. if your gonna send them out, make them opt in, let people decide if they want to recive them. from the way your join page is worded it doesnt sound like it is.

Nope....you're getting a lot more than just generic software for that price.

Most 3rd party billers are charging 4.5% above standard merchant account transaction processing fees. Wonder why that is? And they don't offer what we do.

MPA2 charges $300 per month.

For that same $300 per month ($3000 in affiliate commissions, our take of 10%) with us you get program promotion, management and payment. The plus is we are compatible with a plethera of billing solutions, are essentially bug free, have no server stress issues, monitor the programs for the sponsor and we host the program.

You really get more bang for your buck.

I think a lot of people are missing the point here. I see a lot of bitching about Taboo Revenue charging 10%. Who's bitching about it the wanna be's?

First, when you purchase/rent the MPA system you pay out the ass for it. Plus, if you need any revisions done you pay out the ass for the service that is more often than not a timely process.

Second, with MPA do you get anything but headaches and bad press because you're using the software? I'm sure most of the people using it have experienced the stats problems and the bugs that cost you time, money and a slice of your reputation because it's out of your hands how the program is going to act.

Third, Taboo Revenue is a for profit business just like the rest of us and they deserve to make a profit for their hardwork and committment.

I'm not sure how many of you know these people but they are excellent people that are very committed to making your business successful or if it's already successful to help it grow even more so. Are you aware that their staff spends hours daily promoting the companies they work for through message boards, press releases and such? Are you aware that several of the companies they work with have been featured on Tech TV? How's that for exposure? I'm sure that the marketing people that you employ can secure that kind of exposure for you.

When you think about everything you get with Taboo including the fact that they DO not and WILL not ever shave your clients and they send out the payments for you on time then the 10% is really not a huge issue. Especially considering the fact that many of you programs have to pay fees to your banks for checks to be printed, a fee for each check that you write, time spent by an employ to prepare and mail those checks, additional money to send those checks overseas, etc. etc. You pay an accountant, you pay a marketer, you pay several people to handle portions of your business so why not pay a reputable company to handle the affiliate portion of your business? Affiliates are the reason that you're in business and the Taboo people know how to handle them properly.

For the record, I don't work for Taboo, I have interacted with them several times at various conventions and would trust my affiliate program to them before I would trust it to in house employees. I have always recommended them to anyone that's in need of an affiliate program solution.

Uh most programs make way more than 3k...i doubt anybody in his right mind who is doing 10k+ a month is gonna pay you 1000 dollars a month. Get a clue, you need one.

Yeah I know programs make more than that. I'm new to this board, new to adult, but not new to affiliate marketing.

Ummm...we've got clients paying us upwards of 3000 and more each month.

So I think the ones who need to get a clue are those who think this is a game where cheap is better. You always get what you pay for.
