He sent the funds through Paypal, so I sent the watch. Well I guess Paypal can't figure out if they used a stolen credit card within 24hrs. and thats exactly what happened.

I finally got my money back like 3 months later but it took a lot of fighting with Paypal.

Now I never ship anything sold until 48 hrs later or more.

this is supposedly the reason why paypal randomly locks peoples accounts and steals all their money, to make up for the huge fraud they have to cover for.

Don't just trust anyone.

JesseJimmy 03-22-2004 11:57 PM

Are you a SquareTrade member? Complain to them and Paypal. Then, the buyers account with paypal will be limited in access and other services...

eroswebmaster 03-23-2004 12:12 AM

Shit right then I'd cancel the transaction and put that puppy back up for sale and eat the ebay costs and negative if he chooses to leave one.

definitely dont trust people whether they have 0 feedback or 1000 feedback. make sure theyre feedback is recent.

Wilber 03-23-2004 01:25 AM

Doesn't strike you odd that your selling a cell phone and he calls it
"need of this item"

He is obviously spamming that message across ebay.

reynold 03-23-2004 02:10 AM

never, ever trust anyone with your life!

hova 03-23-2004 03:53 AM

That's exactly what I would do. We are EBAY wholeslalers and sell a lot of stuff, you have to protect yourself! :)

=^..^= 03-23-2004 04:09 AM

^as Fh said we wholesale on ebay
usually we dont have any trouble - but just this weekend we got some smart ass guy with a big old zero rating trying to get me to ship out the goods before he paid.

Turns out he is actually just ONE suburb away - so I told him:
"well how about I send my husband to you to deliver the goods"

he wired the money right away.

just make a complaint to sqauretrade and leave him negative if needs be.

you know you can cancel ppls bids whilst the auction is runnign if they have zero feedback - sometimes helps

whenever i see a 'zero' bidding on one of our auctions i cross my fingers someone with 800+ will come and outbid them
:1orglaugh

last week someone bid on our auction they were -1 - ive never seen that b4 LOL :helpme

50 russian ebay scammers

Jer 03-23-2004 04:20 AM

I saw an already unregistered member of this brazilian auction site (eBay owns like 25% of it) that had an (-8) feedback.

Jer 03-23-2004 04:31 AM

I guess this cellphone buyer went "oh shit, negative feedback... I'll have to sign up for a new ebay account again!"

born4porn 03-23-2004 04:35 AM

take no chances, leave negative feedback if he fucks with you! :2 cents:

Arousal Design 03-23-2004 04:38 AM

His reply to you sounded like Mr. Abodo from Congo writing to you about a confidential matter concerning a lock box of his late father General Abodo's $25mil fortune....

slackologist 03-23-2004 04:47 AM

Sounds like a hit/miss shotgun scam to me.

Jer 03-23-2004 04:51 AM

It's so easy to type "you", use periods and everything. Way more professional. Some guys write like they're typing in a hurry asking for a file they need to print right now... arght

Actually, if you say U.S. bidders only, you can refund his money and tell him to fuck himself, then leave negative feedback.
