For Domain Buyers

If you are buying a significant domain, always get a solid indemnification clause written into your purchase agreement. A solid indem clause with real bite to it should be about 2 to 3 pages long on a well written 20 page purchase agreement.

No bad fish. Just in light of that other post today, wanted everyone to know you should always have a solid indemnification clause in your purchase agreements in case of "after the fact" type discoveries.

A company fucks over a lot of people using the domain XYZ.com for example. The scammer sells XYZ.com to someone. Now the new owner could be named in the lawsuit as well.

Indemnification clauses essentially protect you from any unknown third party claims that arise after the transaction is completed.

ahh, I missed this drama, but just caught up a bit...good advice as usual, thanks for the heads up on the possible casino scammers...seems as if they run rampant in that biz...
