this time they declined my submission for a dialer on the 2nd exit, while I can still see a shitload of dialer campaigns for UK traffic. Their traffic, their rules. Webmasters and adult companies should comply, because I doubt google will step back on this.

Kappy 03-23-2004 11:22 AM

yes their traffic, their rules - but its our money that feeds them. You google fuckers, really I don't have other words for you anymore. You could have given us 1 or 2 weeks time to request changes on the sponsors sites.
Instead you're acting like kids in the kindergarden without any sence and respect for business relations :feels-hot

NoCarrier 03-23-2004 11:52 AM

How about asking the sponsors offering the option to create a new signup page without that option? I'm pretty sure they will be open minded to it. I mean, you can't get more quality traffic that targeted traffic.

Correct me if I am wrong, but there is a distinction between join by phone and a dialer isn?t there? Most sponsors have join by phone option where you aren?t required to download any software your phone bill is just charged for access to the site.
This is the same thing I'm curious about. Has anyone received any feedback on this?

it sucks, google is very picky.

but here's another solution for you guys: my review site affiliate proggy. all my adwords links are running without any problems.
you get to keep 9 out of 10 clicks from the review to the paysite. and i guarantee you'll get a better conversion from the review than sending it directly to the sponsor.

Believe me, your site is one of the next that will get disapproved!

I did a quick look and you have also for example nastydollars and topbucks links on your site. And on their joinpages is a dialer link. Thats enough to get disapproved now.

Kappy 03-23-2004 02:05 PM

Great, a couple of hours ago I already emailed a few sponsors about this new dialer policy and now I'm getting the first replies that they are working on solutions and the first ones will have them ready by tomorrow.

But I suggest to mail your sponsors as well to speed things up and make them aware about the changes.

Kingfish 03-23-2004 03:39 PM

Responses I received so far:
Platinum Bucks - New linking option with credit card and check sign-up only
Adult Lounge - Aware of the situation seeing what they can do
Top Bucks - Trying to figure out the best solution to the problem
SIC Cash - Waiting to see if they should make any changes (email support asking for it)
Silver Cash - Hasn?t responded to my email.

Nope, I also got their disapproved emails a few minutes ago. I've sent them an email and tried to explain the difference between an aggressive dialer and one that is used as an additional billing method, but I guess we'd need a lot more people to email them and explain to them that they made a mistake.

I agree with you hjnet, wtf with this? just to place an additional biling method on pages is enough to be banned from google? where are the serious bussiness minds in this world?

Someone should let them know that this is a mistake.

You can disable the dialers in PornDollar

:)

I've been having major problems with Google also.

In this particular case, I would think just making a landing page that has no mention of a dialer is just fine. If they click from your landing page to a page with a dialer, that's not google's concern. They are only concerned with the landing page. In my humble opinion.

They threatened me yesterday about using "disallowed" keywords in my ads. The funny thing about this is that every keyword I use is suggested by their keyword suggestion tool. So when they find that I'm using "underage sex" it's because it was in the list of keywords they suggested I use. So, it's our job to remove the keywords that they don't allow, without knowing what keywords those are, and after they have suggested that we use those keywords. I find that extremely RETARDED.

I called them on it, they appologized, gave me a similar canned message like the one that started this thread, and have warned me that I need to review my keywords from now on.

Seems like they should just fix their bug... :) FUCK YOU GOOGLE!

Thank you for your email. We apologise for your frustration. Please know
that the integrity of the Google AdWords programme is very important to
us, and this change helps us to maintain consistent and fair standards of
review. This ensures that we continue to provide a high quality
advertising programme that protects both our advertisers and our users.

Previously, our policy allowed ads linking directly to dialers, or to
websites featuring dialers, to run within the programme in a limited
capacity. However, we can no longer permit the inclusion of these ads
within AdWords. Ads that may no longer be advertised via the AdWords
programme include, but are not limited to the following:

- Ads with a Destination URL that triggers a dialer
- Ads that link to a website that initialises a dialer after a set amount
of time has elapsed
- Ads that link to a website that includes links (webmaster content or
advertising content) to dialers
-----------------------------------------------------------------

As DialerMaster said earlier, having a Dialer on your page does not infringe on their new policy.

They added three things:

1) Destination TRIGGERS a dialer
2) A dialer is TRIGGERED after a set amount of time
3) A link for webmasters or advertising (misleading) that is LINKED to a dialer.

I don't think google will remove listings that have a dialer as a payment option. They are removing sites that have blind, misleading and/or triggered dialers.

Oh and just reading it....Google's based in the US right? Why would they use the spelling "programme"? Not to mention there's no info about any of this on their site adwords news site https://adwords.google.com/select/news/index.html ...?

:2 cents:

Sad but you are wrong!

My ads got disapproved because I link from my own landing page to, for example, this site http://www.gangbangsquad.com/?revid=XXXX&s=1
I asked them where the dialer is that violated their terms and they replied me this:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Our AdWords Specialist review all of our ads to ensure that they comply with all of the guidelines. When they reviewed your website they could see a dialer on the following page when you click on pay per minute international access: http://www.gangbangsquad.com/s1/join.html
...This is where the dialer can be found. I assure you that as soon as this is removed from your website, we will be able to review your ads again.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

So at the moment they don't allow any dialer, nowhere!

Kappy 03-24-2004 01:59 PM

Are only campaigns in EU accounts disapproved due to the new dialer policy, or are also campaigns in US accounts disapproved already?

I can only remember webmasters posting here who got there campaigns disapproved from the UK/EU department.

adultvisitors 03-24-2004 03:07 PM
