This is by far the worst move that Sharon has made. It will anger so many people that peace is further away than ever before in Israel. Hamas has said it has opened the gates of hell and one can only imagine their retaliation which I'm sure will be huge. This was the wrong thing to do in an environment that thrives on retaliation.

Palestinian people want they own country and they deserve it.
Everyone agrees on that, even the US administration.
Unfortunately fact is that there are many Palestinian terrorist organisations, that oppose the peace process, because they are either religious fanatics or have their very own ( mostly financial ) goals.
Poeple are easy to manipulate.
On the Isreali side there is also lack of real will to solve this problem in a peaceful way. It is mostly connected with politics, Ariel Sharon acts like he acts, since he doesn't want to lose the support of his party and his voters.
As Mr Fiction said, it is an endless cycle, and that's the simple truth.

I put innocent in inverted commas, because the fact that they are there to be blown up means that they condone Sharon's policy. Every attack on Palestine launches a new wave of violence. You know that, they know that, fuck, it's an incontovertable fact proven over and over by history. Sharon wants no peace, he obviously needs suicide bombers to blow up buses.
