Mogul, Contentlotto, ???

A'ight.. I really hate to do this. I've never been one to air dirty linen, and I don't want this post to come across that way. I've always been a fan of Mogul, his programs, and have had nothing but good things to say about my experiences with his sites.

However.. I have been unable to determine what is going on, and where Mogul is going. I've sent emails and gotten no response. Used to play the games on his Content Lotto fairly often, and built up quite a number of credits.

So.. if Mogul or any of his constituents or friends or relatives or acquaintances are out there listening.. what is going on? Is Content Lotto shutting down? Which of Mogul's programs are active? Is Mogul trying to sell some of his stuff out? Is he getting out of the adult industry? Is he rebuilding for a strong comeback?

I've heard a lot of rumors.. and figured the best opportunity for Mogul to squash those rumors and let people know what is going on would be to do it here, so here's your chance.

Thank you in advance.

from what i understand mogul's leaving the adult side of the biz entirely to persue some mainstream stuff, not 100% sure on that though

dirty laundry? because you can't get a response from him? If you have questions about ContentLotto closing, I am pretty sure it is as a result of one of my posts. In said posts it would have mentioned to contact me for details.

So, as jact so eloquently put it, if you have any questions, I am the one to approach.

not really (if you knew him). he told me frequently that the only reason he hung around as long as he did was because I was running the adult stuff for him,

what other programs might you be referring to? Probably anyhing you are aware of has either been sold, or is being sold.

I can be contacted at ICQ 16075497 if you are interested in buying any of his programs.

He is bailing, those rumors are not rumors, they are fact.

Hey baddog.. I apologize, I didn't know that I was supposed to be responsible for reading every single post on GFY over the last 2 years. I should have been keeping tabs on a minute-by-minute basis just in case Mogul decided to sell, or put someone else in charge, that way I'd be positive who to contact. I mean, it isn't like the ContentLotto database has an email list of all registered and active members and when the owners decided to sell it off/abandon the site/whatever they were completely unable to send out a blanket email to their users explaining the situation.

And I apologize, for creating a straightfoward thread where I really didn't want to come off as a prick, on a board where so often people are misunderstood.. and I didn't want it to come off like I was saying that Mogul was an ass, not returning emails and leaving his users out in the cold while he jaunts off into the sunset.

But fuck, if that's how you read it, so be it. I REALLY don't appreciate an attitudewhen I try to be civil and get an honest explaination for what is going on.

So, why don't you do just that, because I don't fucking feel like searching through the last 10,000 threads for a single post, why don't you give us a succinct explaination for what is going to happen with Content Lotto, the user database, any credits the users have built up and so forth, since you are the current POC?

it was/is amazingly cool. There is no one that provides a better media for branding your product to the adult webmaster.

It would be a shame to see it go, but if no one buys it this week, I have been told it will not be around next week.

What have people offered for it?

What is the minimum price?

If it does not sell, what happens to all the credits people have built up?

Don't even get me STARTED on how mad I would be if the sites goes poof and all those credits are washed away. I didn't spend my time playing his games and visiting his sponsors for nothing.

See.. this is EXACTLY why I started this thread.. to give SOMEONE the opportunity to give a CLEAR and PRECISE explaination of what was going on with the ContentLotto site, the business and the database.. and I STILL haven't gotten a shred of information.

What's the problem? Have no corporate decisions been made yet? Is everything up in the air? Are faithful users going to be dropped like a sack of potatoes?

INFORMATION please.

hmmm, well if no one buys CL it will close. I would guess that the credits would be classified as a use them or lose them scenario.

As far as the user database, maybe he will give it to me for a birthday present . . . . I will have to be sure to hint around to him that this would make a nice gift.

As far as how you came across in your initial thread, you are the one that started talking about "dirty laundry," not me. How do you think most people would take it?

I have to wonder how you heard it was going to close if you did not read it somewhere. No matter. If you wish to purchase CL, let me know, otherwise, I guess the best thing to do is hope someone else does.

not to be rude, but unless you are a potential buyer, it really is not any of your business, I can't think of a more clear and concise way of saying it.

I would suggest you play all of your credits every day and try to win as much stuff as you can between now, and when it closes, if it closes.

All game sponsors are still honoring their obligations, and who knows, maybe someone will buy it in the next few days, and all your worries would have been for naught

If you're ever been outside a cave or your parent's basement you know as well as I do.. people talk. That's why my post was so god-damn-clear that this was an opportunity, a great, momentus opportunity, for Mogul or anyone related to him to give a clear and concise explaination for where things are going, to squash all the rumors and talk, and clear things up to avoid future misunderstandings. I guess that's also beyond the average GFYers' comprehension skills.

***************************

jact: Hard up? I just like to know what the hell is going on in a timely fashion.. The credits themselves are of minimal importance, it's a matter of respect among business people, and I'm sure I'm not the only one with questions, just the only one to come forward and bring it to the forum.

*************************

baddog: I'll offer up $50 USD for the entire ContentLotto site.. including all html, images, code, branding logos, trademarks, copyrights, patents, databases, sponsor contacts & agreements and other related material. I will not assume responsibility for any debts accured by Mr. Mogul or through the operation of ContentLotto, those will remain the responsibility of Mr. Mogul or his constituents.

That is my first offer, let the negotiation begin.

No, it's amazing how difficult some people make a simple matter of sending out an email to users of a particular site or service is.

I didn't know they let the Enron Executives run porn sites from jail.

why exactly do you feel he has an obligation to inform you of his business decisions? The site is up, running and fully functional. Again, unless you are a potential buyer I don't see what you have to worry about.

If the site is bought I would expect the transition to be seamless, so that you, the player, will not even know there was a change in ownership. As it should be.

If it closes there is no need to send out email since the change will be obvious, right?

Not much. The magnitude, however, should be meaningless. Someone with 5 credits or someone with 10,000 credits still put their time into visiting the page's sponsors, and that should not be neglected or so nonchalantly ignored.

Hence, why I started this thread.. to provide an opportunity to not ignore those people. Well, you can read what happened to that.

Now there's a god damn lie.

From the site, right this moment, when you click on the CL Coin Center (which is where you redeem credits for playing the games, it used to be that there were some very nice prizes, including a digital video camera and top Hun listings):

"This feature is going to be delayed until January 2004 most likely as we develop out the new coin system. The new system will allow you to enter guaranteed drawings for cash & prizes. Also there will be redeem items like content, traffic and more. We are also working on ways to gamble your coins in games of skill rather than chance.

I apologize for the delay in putting this back online but I wanted to make it much better and have more options.

---Mogul"

In a previous post you said "I suggest you just play the games and win as much as you can... blah blah" ....Why would I waste even more of my time when there aren't even any prizes to be won?

See.. now it's time to put on the boots, because the bullshit is getting THICK.

What is really going on??

I suggest you read it again. Comments like, "Don't even get me STARTED on how mad I would be if the sites goes poof and all those credits are washed away. I didn't spend my time playing his games and visiting his sponsors for nothing." and offers of $50 indicate to me that he is worried solely about collecting free stuff that he has yet to redeem.

Yeah, it'll be obvious that I got fucked in the ass.. along with however many other users.

Is there a contingency plan?

Will the db be backed up and users written checks for the amount of money made off their sponsor visits?

This is starting to get ridiculous, the more you try to act tough.

"Oh, not to be rude, but if you ain't buyin' what fuckin' business of your's is it anyway?"

It's the business of registered users because we've spent our TIME supporting the program.. just like registered users of this board have spent their TIME supporting GFY. Lens sends out emails all the time, informing of temporary shutdowns, minor problems, etc. It isn't difficult to do!

Keep assuming how other people are thinging and see where it gets you.

I'd love to buy the fucking thing.. I wrote an email about 6 months ago asking if it was for sale because there was absolutely NOTHING going on, but guess what, I NEVER GOT A FUCKING RESPONSE. But if you're not going to show me any respect and give a reasonable answer to very reasonable questions, then fuck you. $50 is my first offer.

Maybe you've never negotiated for anything before, but that's how the process works.

No, it's amazing how difficult some people make a simple matter of sending out an email to users of a particular site or service is.

why exactly do you feel he has an obligation to inform you of his business decisions? The site is up, running and fully functional. Again, unless you are a potential buyer I don't see what you have to worry about.

So, which is it? Is the site fully functional or do only parts of it work??

baddog, if you DON'T know, then just come out and say it.

This isn't something personal against you.. but apparently you're taking this to heart. The more you squirm and tell half-truths or make things up, the worse it is going to get.

All I want is some honest, straightforward information!

The site ISN'T fully functional.. there is absolutely no debate on that.

In terms of buying the site.. I have a feeling that absolutely no one has shown a shred of interest. $10,000? For what, a site that doesn't work and has forgotten every user who actually put any time into it?

You know how hard it would be to get those people back now that it's been all FUBAR'd ???

$50 USD!!!

dude, with all respect, you have no idea who you are talking to or you would know that I used to be a professional negotiator before I got into this business, so I know quite well the process.

On a daily basis I dealt with negotiations far in excess of the money we are talking about here.

It begins with a demand, then a counter. I made you a demand of $10k, you countered with $50. Then as now, your negotiations would not be taken seriously.

Six months ago CL was not for sale, and trust me, people have been asking if they could buy it almost since the time of conception. All previous inquiries got the same response. Ignored by Mogul, and politely declined by me.

Now, if you want to make a serious counter offer I have provided you my contact info and we can continue this in private, however, I must thank you as I have gotten a few more inquiries since this thread started. So you may not need to worry about it after all.

For any other interested parties that may have missed it, I can be contacted at [email protected] or ICQ 16075497 . . serious inquiries only please.

1 million free ad credits at ContentLotto and one LottoStarter site is what they owe me.
contact me on ICQ or email . . . . I can guess how you would have won either of those prizes, and if I am correct I personally gave you your 1 million ad credits and you were told the process on how to collect the lotto starter site.

Asking someone like me to start a thread like this to drum up interest in a site like the one you're selling?

You might be a great negotiator.. now to work on marketing.

Time.. and that time was spent giving sponsor views to Mogul.. which in turn helps ContentLotto.
