The point is that they were stealing; it's just that Goodwill seems to be stealing also when they knocked on my door and said the donations went to the poor. Also the bin is at the street, any other bin at the street is fair game. If they make no effort to secure the property then it is abandoned shit IMHO.
Arresting people for digging in what amounts to a trash bin may be technically correct but nevertheless it is cold and heartless when comming from somethein named "Goodwill" that exploited the plight of the poor to start their business.
They should change the name from Goodwill to "cheap lying scammers".
People put stuff out at the street all the time to be picked up as trash and that means anyone who wants the trash. But Goodwill has "special trash". How does the real trash man know what to fucking pick up from that place?

your ignorance is showing. try reading the laws, if you can read.
BTW, in cities that have recycling, it is illegal to go and steal that too.
I also believe that if you go up to a Goodwill bin you will see it marked that it is illegal to break into it and steal the contents.
People do not dump trash into those collection bins, that is marked on it also.
I am tempted to go take a picture of one, but you would not admit you fucked up anyway, so what's the point?
