I did a quick search for "ARS" before I posted this. I guess I missed it?

Anyways, I thought all of the old traffic was going to ForMatureAudiencesOnly.com and we would still get credit.

Fuckers! We have 100,000's of pages with old links and this is what we get.

I should have done a better search, but really - this fucking blows.

I'm not gonna send Marc anymore traffic period.

Too many other honest sponsors to choose from.

Daymare,

We started sending redirected traffic to PB about a week ago. You get 100% credit for your old GIM traffic going to them. I am checking in to this again for you....we are also sending to another sponsor as of now also.

Yeah it's bullshit! I had to redo 50+ free sites and a bunch of AVS sites to change over the banners and links. They could have said something ahead of time. I even talked to them at Vegas and nothing was said about this. FUCKERS!!!

The reason that we are sending traffic to other sponsors instead of only to FMAO is because FMAO was not performing to our expectations. Our number one goal right now is to make the most money possible from the traffic that was going to the GIM sites. FMAO was not cutting it. Rather than keep the traffic going there and not making it's full potential in revenue, we decided to sell it to other sponsors to increase the revenue generation from that traffic. We credit all the signups that are generated from other sponsors to the referring webmaster.

We are not stealing the traffic by any means. We are just trying to make the most money we can from it

Yep and we just found all our old ARS gay traffic getting shunted off to a Pimproll site and not a sign of anything that resembles my referrer code on it.

Do I smell desperation here or what?

Becky, sounds great, but how do you track our sales when the referrer code does not have anything to do with our code in it still?

Just to be sure my partner clicked on the link again - this time from a gay link list advertising a gay site she got taken to a hetero paysite.

Who on earth at ARS decided to switch these links around like this?

No wonder ARS is in the shit that it is. Even total newbies know that gay traffic is not going to covert at a hetero site - yet some half-witted fool at ARS still expects gay traffic to sign up for hetero sites - it's simply amazing - where is the professionalism?

Where are the innovative industry leaders now?

Perhaps they were never at ARS in the first place.

so did ars basically shut down most of their operations to start an adult ppc with a terrible name and now its performing horribly, so they are scrambling to try to find something to do with the traffic?

never sent to ars so i dind't really pay attention to the whole thing

Make a central FPA for every sponsor and send all your linking codes to it. Do not send it directly from a gallery to a sponsor. This way you can just change your FPA instead of 10,000 links...

Do you really think if ARS was dead they would be posting here and launching the 4real program?

If they were dead they would have redirected EVERYTHING and be sitting on the beach collecting the rebills.

Its a pretty big change they are making but watch and learn

The only thing i'm watching is them pissing off a ton of webmasters by running around like a chicken with its head off.

Times change and ARS is adapting to change. Sure it sucks right now but obviosly they are looking to be around in a year or so and still paying.

Far from dead is all I was pointing out.

Get in touch with reality mate. ARS's attempt to adapt to change was to introduce reality sites that were not even state of the art 6 months ago.

ARS are not adapting to change - they're running like hell to try and catch up to everyone else and along the way they are doing the utmost to destroy any confidence their one-time loyal affiliates had in them.

IMO, this move reflects bad ethics on the part of ARS. I'm glad I pulled my ARS links long ago.

ok, well thanks for the explainations Becky and John. It just didn't look good when I see my old ARS links goto platinumbucks and so on.

It's good that we are at least getting 'some' money for the old links.

Those of you bitching about the old links are obviously UNEDUCATED to the entire process. This is very simple.

We ceased our business relationship with AskCS.com (the owners of most of our old portfolio). We knew there would be a lot of old links laying around that we have been paying webmasters on. We will ALWAYS pay on those old links. So no matter where it goes, you will be paid for it. There is nothing underhanded going on here.

Now, those of you haters that pop your face in every ARS thread acting as if you know exactly what is happening with us and exactly where this industry is going, don't assume to know as much as you do. We know EXACTLY what we are doing.

we don't hate you Marc - we just don't like seeing all our hard work going down the tubes because you guys haven't got a clue. Instead of being up front with us you hide behind spin and bullshit and all that does is confim that you guys are struggling.

Some of us don't assume anything - we've been around the industry for years and we just watch and assess and compare with past experiences.

And there are some of us who just can't be bought with coffee mugs, mouse mats and other crap.

As for where ARS is going?

You yourself admitted on GGs show that ARS had been bleeding money for a long time.

You yourself admitted on GG's show that there were problems with the sites and the backend wasn't working properly.

A week later one of your people on the same radio show admitted that there were still problems with the new sites.

Add to that the fact that the sites are not innovative or different to anything else that's out there and it doesn't matter what you say Marc - the facts are out there for all to see.

Come clean - keep us informed and we might trust you again. Go on switching our gay traffic to hetero sites and we'll go on believing that you guys are either desperate or clueless or both.
