I don't really think paypal actively tries to find people that violate their terms. Every time someone's account gets closed it's because the account was flagged for some other reason first: chargeback, suspicious activity.. etc... Then while investigating the account, they just find out it's doing adult related processing, and shut it down. I could be wrong though... :-/

On another note -- you guys know Paypal gets like this... and it doesnt help that people rat out their competition all the time, just making Paypal even more likely to search harder.

I think epassporte will be the main service people use. Yahoodirect is pretty slick though, you can pay thru your yahoo account and charge a cc. So it is the same as if I had my own merchant account.

I don't get it. Someone with a legitimate online business, let's say selling books, that use paypal for their transactions could get shut down because someone with an adult email addy paid for said books? That makes no sense.

I'm canadian and it's nice to have american money on hand which is why I never withdraw from Paypal. Just use it to buy american stuff.

So if something does happen and my account gets shut down, is there any steps to take to get the money owed?

We are also looking for Merchant Account solutions. So far the bank we deal with in Canada has told us FAT CHANCE. Anyone have more information on that iKobo program?

I have been telling people about how bad PayPal is for a long time and most people tell me its all in my head. Oh well, they'll learn for themselves when they wake up one day and find their account locked up.

Could consider 2CheckOut depending on what you are selling. They dont accept most adult products, but they do accept lingerie sales, fetish sites (if no nudity is shown), web design and *maybe* traffic brokers and some other sidelines. They also take dating sites now. But they wont allow anything with nudity in it - the fetish sites are kinda borderline.

Yep it's very easy, I had a merchant account set up in 5 minutes. Already recieved 3 payments thru it. Everything seems fine so far. Also they have a program where I can send atm cards to affiliates, and then I can add money to their card from my admin. This would be perfect for the affiliates I pay out for traffic. Any lurkers in here that have a account at SMT? Would this work for you? Takes a week to get the card initially. Then everytime you requested a payout in SMT I could jsut send the money to your card.

The closest thing I would go with is Epassporte. Its more widely used than any other payout system out there. I've never heard of half these other online bank companies

Agreed. I prefer epassporte above all other options, the problem is that so many guys cannot get epassporte accounts. I would be happy using ONLY epassporte.
