Ive got a linksys wireless router [802.11-b] and a linksys wireless card for my new dell latitude d600 laptop..I had everything working fine but all of a sudden it has 'No association with Access point'
When I hover my mouse over the icon in the system tray I see 'WPC11 Not Installed' So I search google and find this page: http://www.linksys.com/support/top10faqs/wpc11/The%20WLAN%20Monitor%20reports%20%C3%B4WPC11%20is% 20not%20installed%C3%B6.asp I uninstalled everything, downloaded new drivers, and re-installed them. Still nothing. Any ideas guys? ![]() Thanks in advance.

I had this same problem when my neighbors started to light up their own wifi APs....
I changed from the default channel and made sure that the right WEP settings were set and it worked fine after that. I think I went from default channel 6 to channel 11 or something. |

By the way, I had a couple of great experiences with linksys phone tech support. It was a long wait but once I got them on the phone they cleared up my obscure fucked up issues right away.

I just fixed that on a friends comp. He was also victim of browser hijacking. I did a system restore to get the nic working again and removed the spyware crap and it's working. HTH

Well just spent a half hour on the phone with their tech support. All they basicly had me do was manually change the configuration to channel 6 and use my name as the SSID. He also told me to not even use the software that comes with it. The software still says that the card is not installed but the internet works fine.
Thanks for you help RFlagg & gornyhuy.
