I was behind wired solutions/virtual service in the early days but in the past three years are not at all involved with those guys. I was banned from the business for the last few years based on the past company (lawsuit) but have since settled. Anyhow, look forward to meeting oldies and newbies in phoenix and hope that alittle history makes those that are considering doing buisness with us more confident that we are not here today gone tomorrow.

Fucking NEWBIE!!!
Try '93!

I've been selling porn since 1977 and my content has been on the Net since the BBS days. I've been selling it direct to websites since 2001.

Hey that's me!
Started in 95 with *gasp* Xpics cause they paid more than delivering pizza

HairToStay 03-21-2004 07:55 AM

First site up in 1994 (one of those tilde thingies -- ISP.com/~) and registered first domain in 1995.

Stupidly bypassed a TON of domain names thinking "naw, they'll be around for a while" since at the time I was too cheap to register them -- it was Internic at $70 per year at the time :)

jimmyf 03-21-2004 08:06 AM

I think it was in the 1980's, the only thing you could get then was Newsgroups.

I know I was doing online maint. at 1200 baud and it took 25 min. to transfer our main .EXE think it was 1200 baud. If I were not so lazy I could just look at the software copyright

No Shit !

I had casino.com and bank.com com way back and let them expire. That was when you could register hundreds of domains and not pay the invoice if you changed your mind.

Big Mistake !

I was also the first paid advertiser on ynot and the second on websidestory back in the day :)

Andy at lips.com made a killing on the front page of websidestory. I think he paid 2K per month and was making 60K :)
