This is why mother fucking drunk drivers should be shot.

I remember years ago in jr. high science class we had to study the theory why drunk drivers often survived crashes yet sober people didn't. Our teacher showed that when people are drunk their bodies go more limber and they don't tense up as much lessening trauma from impacts. Then I read this story on the web. The dude who killed these people should just be taken out and shot. No trial, no bail, no plea bargaining, just shot at fucking dawn. No, fuck waiting for dawn. Just shoot the piece of shit.

Dad, girl die in fiery crash; driver held
Police: Suspect was driving drunk
By Nik Bonopartis
Poughkeepsie Journal

PAWLING -- A Pawling man and his 11-year-old daughter were killed Wednesday night after their car was hit by an allegedly drunken driver, the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office said.
Richard W. Bickford, 37, of Bedford Hills, Westchester County, was driving his Ford F-350 pickup truck east on Route 55 when he allegedly crossed over the center line and struck a Dodge Neon head-on, Undersheriff J.J. Thompson said.

The impact pushed the Neon across the center of Route 55 and into slabs of rock off the south shoulder of the road.

Thompson said both vehicles ''burst into flames and were totally consumed.''

Killed in the accident were Christopher O. O'Toole, 46, who was driving the Neon, and his 11-year-old daughter, Erin O'Toole, Thompson said.

Authorities received a 911 call about 6:34 p.m. that at least one car was on fire at the accident scene, near the intersection of Old Route 55 and Route 292.

Thompson did not say who called 911, citing an ongoing investigation.

Police and ambulances arrived on the scene, followed by medical examiners, who declared O'Toole and his daughter dead.

Bickford was somehow able to escape largely unscathed by the crash and fire and left the scene of the accident, Thompson said.

Found at train station

Bickford was found at the Metro-North train station in the Village of Pawling a short time later by deputies. He had minor cuts on his face, Thompson said. Bickford refused medical treatment and was arrested.

It wasn't clear how Bickford was able to escape the fiery crash, Thompson said. Sheriff's deputies were continuing an accident reconstruction and investigation Thursday.

Christopher O'Toole, who was born in Brooklyn and grew up in Mahopac, worked as a senior planner in the Industrial Engineering Department of the MTA Metro-North Railroad, his obituary said.

Erin O'Toole attended Pawling Middle School and was a strong student who enjoyed basketball and art, her obituary said. Christopher O'Toole leaves behind a wife, Jennifer, and older daughter Colleen.

Felony charges

Bickford was charged with two counts of vehicular manslaughter and one count of leaving the scene of a fatal accident, felonies, as well as misdemeanor driving while intoxicated and failure to keep right, a violation.

Bickford was arraigned and sent to Dutchess County Jail, where he's being held on bail of $100,000 or $200,000 bond. He's scheduled to return to Pawling town court Monday for a preliminary hearing.

The Dutchess County District Attorney's Office and Medical Examiner's Office are assisting sheriff's deputies with the investigation.

State troopers, Pawling Fire Department and Pawling Rescue Squad assisted deputies at the accident.
