Trust me I have not made you out to be more than you profess to be.

No one said lefties are "beneath" me, I disagree with their viewpoints, I dont like their stances on many things. There are many people who I respect as democrats who I dont agree with as far as their political stances. I take everyones comments seriously, if you truly cared about your political beliefs then you WOULD share your comments in hopes to provoke thought with people who read this thread, not just myself. Saddam was no threat to the US, he had no WMDs and even if he did no intention of using them except against Muslims or Israel.

The US has lost a lot of respect and influence in the world.

More Muslims hate the US than before.

US economy is worse than before the war.

The "War on Terror" was slowed down because of the war.

So please tell us all why the soldiers were fighting for the US. Bush wanted this war for reasons only he knows. Just because he's the President it does not make him infallible.

Many people feel the world would be a better place with out Bush and that he is true force of evil in the world today. It all depends on your perspective and values.

Tell me, how much world travel have you done... how much of the world have you seen? Or is all you know American culture and values?

The war was not only protecting the U.S. by removing a terrorist supporter from power, but it was also protecting countries from around the world from power, as well as saving thousands of lives from persecution within the country of Iraq. Removing him from power is not bad for anyone.

So just because he "MAY" not have opposed an immediate threat to the U.S. he shouldn't have been ousted? We will probably never know if he did have WMD's the fact of the matter is that he was working on them during the first gulf war and his intentions were clear.

As far as the economy, it was sinking well before GW got into office, I sure as hell remember losing a shitload of money during the stock market decline when Clinton was in office and when CEO's were lying about their books.

As far as the president being infallible, I never said he was, although I didnt agree with Clinton and his beliefs I still would have stood behind him if we went to war or anything else. I stand behind the president who is serving our country, even though I may not agree with their political agenda.

I will be the first to say I have not done a lot of world travel, I however, dont believe that makes my ability to have an opinion any less important.

I do only know about my world, but I do learn from people around the world, I have many friends from Europe, Turkey, Israel, India etc, and I am constantly discussing culture with them.
