I'm thinking of buying a new house....

<img src=http://www.gregmichie.com/large/4110Henderson.jpg>

$400K canadian. I have about $200k down for this idea, so the mortage is only a little over $1000/month.

Riverfront on the red river, 1.8 arce landscaped lot, 3 car garage, lots of old trees - just outside the city limits so property taxes arn't that bad. built in 1985. 3280 sq feet

debating it seriously now ...... i duno... seems nice

Beautiful man. Why not?

I'm planning on buying a house by the end of this year, probably going to move out of SoCal though. For $400k in San Diego I'll get a run of the mill 3 bedroom house. For $400k practically anywhere else I could get a very nice, spacious house with a nice lot, good location, pool, the whole works.

It's crazy.

My thoughts would be do it, TGP game will be up in a couple years and you'll probably never have another chance, so do it now while you have the bankroll and credit.

tell me about it, I've got a fucking shack I'm paying $850 a month for... I've been searching for ages for something with a big yard and it's just about impossible, developers use up every single inch of land.

If I was to pay over 500K for a house, I wouldn't want to be able to reach out the window and touch my neighbor's house.

it's either that house or a bunch of apartment blocks... I'm leaning towards the apt blocks actually

If you want it just as an investment, then probably the apt thing is the way to go. If you want it because you want it, the house looks really nice.

Sometimes I miss snow living in LA.

Looks nice man and only $400k?

I'm realizing how expensive real estate is here in california. That home would cost millions over here.
