I smoke a joint, and then work untill I come down, then repeat.

Seems to work for me, not sure how it would work for others though

i enjoy seeing me goals come into fruition, so that keeps me going. doing boring/repetitive/tedious work can get to me sometimes though, so i just taka a break and go for a walk or something in between sessions.

Get the easy tasks done first then move on to the big ones. That way you have less tasks total to worry about and you are working with a few successes already underneath your belt which should help motivate you to finish the really important tasks.

What I do for work might be a litle bit different than some others, but basically this:

- 1 pot of green tea for constant low-grade caffeination

- 1 notepad with my to-do list for the day

- Extensive collection of trance/ambient/goa music to help me get into an altered state (coders' trance), played at low enough level so that the music doesn't snap me out of reverie due to massive volume changes.

The music is probably the most important part to keeping me 'in the zone', and many types will do... the important part is making sure it's not music that requires thinking to listen to, or is too 'catchy' that'll make me want to whistle or sing along.

For me, having a very clean workspace and a to-do list helps a lot.

i've learned something importantly lately...

i too was once a slacker... but, now i notice why that is so... you have to have goals, you have to have a big picture... you have to have a well thought out plan that will get you to where you're going.

a person needs to be inspired, motivated, in order to stay focused and work consistantly and dilligently.

we all know the phrase, "Hard work pays off", but unfortunately human nature limits us from our true potential. but it will definitely help to get yourself a good plan, that will make your goals come true.

make it realistic, small steps first, but think big. do what it'll take to reach those goals. and if you are really confident in yourself and your plan, you will naturally work harder.

aim big, aim big.

If work can't keep my attention for more than 30 minutes, I like to call a hooker or two and chill for a bit. I find that this really keeps my head in the game. If I let laziness suck away from my general pimpery, I call the ladies to remind myself of why I got into this game in the first place. I set a few goals while one hooker licks my a hole. Then I visualize solutions to the issues involved with the highest priority goals while the other hooker tongues the sack o' nuts.

Keep your head clear, and the answers will find you. For me, those answers come in hooker form.

Time management and organize. Proper scheduling and evenly distributing work loads based on your availability will sure help you out. Worked fine with me. Hope it helps.
