Update to the tourist beating incident
Today three men accused of beating dental student Jose Montoya in Waikiki went before a judge.
"Halfway across the street, I looked back. Saw Jose, he was walking normally. I got to the other side of the street, looked back, he was sprawled out," Dacunha testified. "He was moaning. There was blood coming from his nose and from his cheek. And he would open and close his eyes. And we'd try to talk to him. And he wouldn't, he wouldn't respond," said Dacunha. The victim came to Hawaii for a dental research convention. He remains hospitalized. linkage
