Now if there are any Megadeth fans around, David Ellefson, who lives in Phoenix, and I will be partying during the Phoenix Forum.

Megadeth KICKS ASS. It would be an honor to party with any member of Megadeth.

still playing, but Blackie's the only original member left

I'd love to see an original lineup with Randy Piper back on guitar, Blackie going back to bass and the fucking madman Chris Holmes on lead guitar...

I saw W.A.S.P. twice with that line up
Once they were opening for Black Sabbath and I was about 15 rows back and once was in a club

oh man, I fought joining this thread. Really, I did because it is too much of a 'me' thread. Then, i click and there are good bands straight off the bat.

alright..first one: Morrisey is working on an album at the moment. Has been muttered about a lot on the UK music scene over the past couple months.

PF's are great but Love Spit Love were good too!

MiLo 03-17-2004 11:19 PM

i know it'll sound weird but...

RATT

Warren DeMartini and Steven Pearcy live in San Diego by me as well :-))

FYC are back together and I am seeing them in July in London.

Simple minds - back together for a couple show - was on London news a couple weeks ago when they did a show. I don't know if they are doing any albums though.

Housemartins will never get back together. Not with Beautiful South still turning over money and Norman Cook (aka Fat Boy Slim) being a gazllionaire.

Maddness are still together but take breaks between albums.

Ratt - I was just playing Round Round when I opened the thread ;)

Tears for Fears just recently announced they are reforming. It is on the back of a couver of one of their songs - Gary Jule's version of Mad World from the Donnie Darko soundtrack - recently being a huge hit in the UK over christmas.

Frankie - Holly Johnson has HIV, he does lots of tv but not sure about if he is singing.

Morrissey makes me want to blow my brains out, way too depressing for me, Psychedelic furs was decent but also leans on the depressing side of street.

I would die to see some early Pink Floyd even as far back as Syd Barret, or see early U2 from the 80's although I like all U2 really but early songs in particular. 80s was kinda cheese though, now that I think about it..

Ironhorse 03-17-2004 11:36 PM

Did anyone like Dexy's Midnight Runners? They sang 'Common Eileen'

That was one of the first albums I bought, I like all the songs.

How about Alphaville 'Forever Young', I actually do also like Duran Duran, yes the hair sucked but music was very good, still is, my 12 year old daughter even likes it.

Ironhorse 03-17-2004 11:42 PM

How about something different, anyone got into industrial bands like Test Department, Helios Creed or Cabaret Voltaire?

Um, the lead singer, Kevin Rowland, had an album out a couple years ago. He isn't wearing overalls anymore.

This was the cover:
