alright, i'm trying to understand the tgp business a bit better so i can cater designs more towards a clients needs. from what i can gather, a tgp should have a good identity, and should ideally hit you with that theme hard enough to get to either remember the url, or bookmark it.

from there you want to push clicks to the top links (sold spots, sponsors, etc..) and keep the rest as fresh as possible to again promote people to bookmark/return to your site.

from return traffic, and linking traffic, and bought traffic will generate more revenue for gallery makers, who will bring more money to you.

this said - the tgp is made solely to amass traffic and direct it at affiliates and sponsors (like the television show around the commercials) and drive it towards a harder sell (galleries, tours, etc...)

this said, wouldn't it be best to never link outward to other tgp's? and just buy traffic inward?

i could be wrong, i don't own a tgp, and i don't plan on it. but i'm just trying to get more of the theory behind them. I've designed quite a few of them, and this question just popped into my head.

You can have 1 000 000 free loaders daily and not make a penny . Don't offer them too much

i would think that a percentage of would-be freeloaders would spend the money if they got the right sell thrown at them. And by having a high quality site instead of a thrown together tgp would also promote your traffic, from word of mouth. if that's even really worth the traffic you'd get from that.

i doubt a sufer care how nice a TGP is, if i'm trying to rub one out i'm not about to stop and admire what wonderful graphics you have...so how can you comopete w/ hun, shemp, and all the other 1,000,000 tgps that pop up every day

not graphic-wise sorry.

i mean you go to thehun.com becuase you know that there will be porn there. you want a site that looks like it has porn on it. good porn. thehun is the exception to the design rule.

but i'm saying that with nice clean graphics, and a nice layout you can give the appearance that your site isn't run by a bunch of noobs (even if it is

).

well organized and such, with minimal misleading links.
