yep same here.
The Digital cable in this area is owned by Comcast... They are the bigggest fucking crooks.. Shit, they charge me so much as it is for my cable internet.. Digital cable in all the rooms, with all the movie channels would cost just as much.. And there isnt even an NBA league pass aviable is there? |

We pay $100 for Cox Digital Cable, DVR, HBO package and our cable modem. I don't think that's bad.
|
quit buying porn
|
But on their commercial they say "Direct TV --- all for a price that can be cheaper than cable"
I always wondered about the way they worded that. Those fuckers. I think I'll upgrade my service to full digital. It's only $109 per month here, and it includes cable modem. :D |
and to think that the dept of justice goes after microsoft for bundling free shit with their os... the television services are the worst monopoly out there... the addition of satalite services was supposed to be good for competition but a lot of areas dont have the option of choosing between services because they arent availible... and the areas have both arent really benefitting from lower costs... you guys are adult webmasters who supposedly make a lot of money and it bothers you... as it should because its just a fuckin ripoff, but you wouldnt believe how many people who dont make a good living have cable bills in excess of over 100 a month... its fucking common and shocking... there has been talk of some kind of legislation in the works but no solution has been agreed upon yet... the best idea that i heard was a flat charge per channel of about a buck a month per channel... most people only watch a few channels anyway so this would be a good solution for the consumer... while i doubt it will come to pass i hope it does
|
directv here is $30 a month with 100+ channels including pay per view and porn stuff
|
boneprone,
perhaps it's time to invest in a card scanning machine to give yourself $900 in credits for every swipe, for free. |
So you dont have cbs

My most expensive pack currently is $49.50 for 3 months of 34 feeds of HBO & Cinemax. It's 27.50 for a similar sized package of Showtime/TMC/Flix/Sundance feeds for 3 months. |
that's chump change for a player like you

Again..
Anyone with Digital Cable or Satelite where there is a card being used is getting ripped off. You can EASILY pay $10-$20 per $100 worth of units for your card. Forget these monthly fees. You can get EVERY channel, plus all the pay-per-view movies or events your lil channel surfing heart desires. I paid for the satelite dish, 5 boxes, and 1 monthly fee for the lowest package, then I got this box, and now I get everything I want for pretty much FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! When I used to have regular cable, I had the black box, and got everything for free anyhow. They are fucking you, so why not fuck them right back.. :thumbsup |

Get cable, its cheaper.
|
its should have a cbs
|
holy i just pay $47 bucks and that is in canadian funds. You probably have all the packages. Here satelite TV is about $60 bucks and $5 per receiver
|
watching TV is fucking expensive!! fuck that crap - I have baisc cable and thats coo with me.
|
I normally don't support pirated things, but when it comes to TV I think some of the prices are outrageous.
Example: the wrestling package on 103 was $50.00, I find that crazy...especially when I only watch X amount of a show/event/channel, I usually don't have time nor patience to watch it for extended periods. Does your current receivers support HUCards or do they use P4? If they support HUCards I would advise you to do the following 1) Keep your legit DTV service (cheapest package) [1 receiver] 2) Buy a Card Programmer [ebay] 3) Program the cards yourself, watch whatever you want ... and don't pay outrageous prices If you want to talk to me further about this, hit me up :) *There are minimum risks involved as most of you know* |
Plus they are phasing out the HU cards and there are no public hacks for the new cards.

Virgin P4 cards $100 USD via Paypal each! :winkwink:

There are actually parts you can buy at RadioShack called 'cones' and you place one in the room with the receiver and one in the second room and presuming you have two remote controls you can change the channels from the second room - but you watch the same show (you won't be able to watch seperate shows unless you have two receivers) |
Im paying 180$ for cable internet with no channels! :(
