Designers -> Which Graphic Tablets do you use?

i've seen some cool contests here, and some of the logos where obviously made using a graphic tablet.

so, which one do you use yourself or which one would you recommend?

I'll be honest. I bought a wacom tablet about 6 months ago. I used it for a week, then realized I don't have time for this shit.

If you are someone that is really good at drawing naturally on paper then this could be the thing for you. I suck at it so it wasn't something I stuck with.

I'm really impatient as well so sitting there for hours at a time for one little drawing made me stop using it.

Wacum is excellent..it costed me $400 but saved me from getting RSI..i use the pen all the time instead of a mouse

a pen has a much more natural feeling then a mouse..also..you don't have to click ..just tap to click

i can draw on paper pretty decent. since i have no scanner at hands i thought it would be the most direct way to make characters or cool logo gadgets.

anybody interested in selling his wacom tablet? :D

Wacom Graphire 3 .
Get a small one to start , its something you will either love or hate , so dont drop $400 on the first go .

The smaller ones seem easier to use to me .
http://twistedbydesigns.com/toons.htm
most of those are drawn with a wacom tablet .

good luck

I use a Wacom 6x8 Graphire 3 for some projects but I mostly (almost always) draw digitally. I like to get right down to the pixel level for details and colour blending...I just find I have more
control that way.

Heres a sample...Thirsty

Ty.

I'd say if freehand is more your comfort level then yes.
I think they are around 80.00 - 190.00 US?...Not sure.
Mine was around 400.00 CDN. Worth it though if you have the
cash kicking around....

I use a Wacom as well - I don't draw with it much, but it's great for cuting out models from backgrounds and image edits.
