"Awaken the giant within" made a huge influence on my life. Read it back in 95 or about.
The information in this book as well as few others I read made me learn and achieve so much more then most people even dream of.
I also went to one of his seminars but didn't like that one. It was more like a sales pitch. I'll stick with the books.

Can't see that anyone tlaking or writing abouit life can make that much of a difference in your life and what you do. I went to some dudes seminar once and fell asleep.

Robbins books in my opinion are for the weak minded, just like religion is, some people feel they have to turn to some "other force" in their lives to get by.

You have no clue Retrad!
It's nothing to do with 'getting by' It' s all about being the top and how to get there.
Ask the people who are the top at what they do and it's what Robbins teaches!

If you ask me he looks like he is made of plastic. He's the life size Ken prototype they tossed out -----------

If anyone is planning on going to his next show be sure to bring a bucket of water. If you get close enough to him try to get as much of the water on him as possible. After you take care of that you will be able to get the magic broom away from him and bring it to the wizard for the real prize.

My dear "Head" person, I am far from boring, far from average, far removed from the adult industry, and have everything in life you only dream about.

So if you'r going to get into a debate with me, then at least do the research as to who you are dealing with.

My dear "Head" I am a very open minded chap. But you seem to be going off in a tangent, you initially priased Robbins, then at the bottom of your rant you posted "discuss" I took that to be open for discussion.

I on my part finished my post with MOO, which if you are not sure what that means "MOO" = "MY OPINION ONLY"

You on your part decided to refer to me as a "retard" uuummm there is something not following here in the "discuss" sense.

And we are discussing in a heated fashion.

I did his seminars years ago and I hated it. Any public forum you attend will expose you to a bunch of really lost souls. Check out a book called " The Saint, the Surfer and the CEO" I forgot the author but he has a web site and does private couching...do search using book title.

He made an impact on a friend of mine who is in mianstream sales. I dont like that he started out as some fire walking guru back in the 70's. Anyone can walk on fresh evenly spaced coals at a brisk pace and not get burnt, it has to do with science not mind empowerment.

Hey .. if it works for you...all the power to you.

Actually, "The naked Cowboy" a friend of mine, is also a Tony Robbins material fan.
this is not about Tony Robbins but about understanding yourself better and how you think, how your mind operate, and how you can put the energy into controlling your life when you really need that kind of help.
Here's something I still practice today that I learn from his books; If you have ill thoughts what you do is basically play the same old movie over and over. Stop with that and play another movie. Common sense? Yea, it is. But once he goes into all the details behind this concept you really learn and it improves your life quality.
In any event, I personally like the books, still go over them from time to time, and also bought few of them to friends as gifts.

You shouldn't really make derogatory comments about something you obviously know nothing about. All the Tony Robbins stuff does is teach you strategies to live life and overcome challenges more happily and effectlvely. His work is like a precis of many other peoples' work in the field, and I can honestly say that it has been enormously beneficial in my work and my life. There is no blind faith or belief, as in a religion, it is just logic, and most of it is stuff you already know, but you just have to have it pointed out to you.
