Been with my girl for 2 years now.

Was hoping it would become a permanent thing... I'm quite sure she feels the same way.

But.... she lays on me that she wants to go overseas to study! For at least a year. She says she'll have no problem staying faithful to me and I believe her but dang...

As much as I love her, I don't know if at 23 I should be putting my life on hold for a few years to wait around for her to get back. I've got a good job here and my adult stuff isn't big enough to go full-time yet.

1) Should I cut her loose?

2) Should I wait for her?

3) Should I go with her?

Should either cut her loose or go with her, that is if she wants you to. But I wouldn't try to do the long distance thing. And at 23 you should wait for no one! If it is meant to be...it will happen!

Plus the long distance thing works for abouit two weeks. Then all that, "I promise to stay faithful" crap flys right out the window. All it takes is a little time away to forget what it like being togeather, a few drinks at a local pub, and the right person making the moves and "faithful" is a distant thought.

Take advice from a 30 year old married codger who never really traveled...
Either:
1) go with her and have a great time traveling and doing porn and getting a job in a cool new place and wind up bonding with her even more because of the shared excitement and adventure and because you were willing to travel with her.

-or-

2)cut her loose and stay behind. At 23 you don't want to be in a multi-year long distance relationship, believe me on that one. You will wind up resenting her. If she comes back and the spark is still there then you can pick it up where you left off.

If you can't go with her, make sure you visit or she visits you at least during all the major holidays...

Agreed...most of the times it's the guy that cheats...

So if you do cheat, you'll have to be able to hide it from her and not tell her, which can be hard if you're an honest/decent guy
