I have seen George Tenet testify in open hearing before the Senate Intelligence Committee several times now and he stated that US intel...as well as Israeli...British...French and German intel backed up what the Administration told the American people and the world about Iraq.

You must not have been watching the same Senate Hearings that I have been watching, because he was quite diplomatic in stating that it was not his place to set the record straight about what the White House and State Department were saying, even if it was inaccurate.

It was quite amazing to see him dare to even go that far. No Director of Central Intelligence is ever going to explicitely say the President mislead the nation during a time of war (or even peace?)

You've been watching too much Fox News perhaps?

mmmh... yeah sure... even if it was the US that had most of of proofs!?!?! They all approved what Powel said during his exposé about his proofs!?!??? lol You dont remember the French guy Villipin do you!?

NIce way to spin it... you seem easily fooled... Israeli...British...French and German approved PARTS of what the US intel might have said..!!!

All of afore mentioned intel agencies agreed that Iraq had WMD's and WMD programs...according to George Tenet.

George Tenet was appointed by President Clinton and if I am not mistaken is the longest serving DCI. Bottom line of his testimony was...he flatly stated that for his entire tenure...all of the 14 US intel agencies as well as the British...German and French intel agencies all consensually concurred that Iraq possessed WMD's and WMD programs and this is what he reported to President Clinton as well as President Bush.

BuckLover 03-15-2004 01:41 PM

Probably only slightly less americans think that also??

OOPS! They agreed that IRAQ might have WMDs... If they knew for a fact they had WMVs... you think FRance and Germany would have constently put in doubt the US about their WMVs proofs.. and ask for more inspections....mmmh doesnt make too much sense... If politicians/president can twist the truth a bit... Tenet also can...

Niether the French or German government have stated anything different than what George Tenet has stated in public hearings. In addition...prior to the invasion...I do not recall either of the two governments...as well as the Russian government challenging the Secretary of States presentation to the UN.

The Russian...French and German governments had their own agenda as to why they did not want the US to invade...primary reason being the more than 100 billion dollars owed to them by Saddam.

Phoenix 03-15-2004 02:06 PM

i think that estimate is drastically low.

12 Clicks is clearly the moron here! You are the most arrogant IGNORANT (uneducated for the illiterate) of humanity and it is people such as yourself that the world sees and hears and, as a result, has such a low regard for Americans. I said earlier I had never met an American I did not like...I beg now to correct that.
Just for the record, it was your American fighter pilots that recently killed a troup of Canadian forces because they were hopped up on uppers and wouldn't know a friendly troup if it jumped up an bit them on the ass. My brother was one of those troups killed
You people don't need alliances, you believe that everyone is beneath you! You are a joke 12 Clicks! A complete afront to the human race.
So, with all of that said...go to the top of your browser page and read aloud...from me to you...Go Fuck Yourself!

I don't know anyone here that likes bush or believes the bulk of what he says ( we have around 18 employees here - most of them not in the least politically minded, but still they think he's a nasty piece of work ) Among friends and family, i don't know any that think he is doing much good for the world, it's common to hear him referred to as 'little shrub' or some varient.

You want them to challenge lies and made up evidence?

Quote:

Mr Powell's team removed dozens of pages of alleged evidence about Iraq's banned weapons and ties to terrorists from a draft of his speech, US News and World Report says today. At one point, he became so angry at the lack of adequate sourcing to intelligence claims that he declared: "I'm not reading this. This is bullshit," according to the magazine.

AS for the French, German and Russian's reasons.. LOL LOL ...
Sure.. if they didnt have those 100 billions $$ like you said.. they would have back up Bush and go against the UN , Blix, etc...!?? LOL Canada and all the other countries that were against a precipitated war must also have had billions owed by Saddam..!? If you are against Bush and Rumsfeld.. you must have an agenda ... !!!! :eek7

According to the DCI they consenually concurred that Iraq possessed WMD's and active WMD programs and have done so during the entireity of his tenure as DCI.

They Senate Intelligence Committee has been investigating what intel was provided to the Administration for close to a year now and are close to producing their report. I do not know at this point what they will report...but I can assure you that if the majority of Democrats feel that that the Administration misinformed the American people they will be yelling it from the mountain tops. There are a couple of Democrats on the Committee that will yell it no matter what the report concludes.

As for people like yourself you do not have any intention of accepting the results of the report unless it is a negative report against the Administration.

Personally I sincerely hope that the Administration was not lying because the alternative is a massive intel failure not only with our 14 intel agencies but apparently the intel agencies that work with the US. Lying Administrations come and go...but the US has to be able to rely upon our intel agencies to be as accurate as is possible for the national security.

in this instance the canadians are totally right; speaking as a texan, i think Bush is quite possibly the stupidest president Amerika has produced for over a century, and bald-face liar to boot. it pains me that i'll have to endure sharing oxygen w/ 'Shrub' when he's thrown out of office and sent back to Texas w/ his hat in hand later this year (reminiscant of his cowtow'ing stint in front of the UN last year)...

i hope he chokes on the hard pit of right-wing fundamentalist evil thats nestled in the decaying recesses of his chest... ass-hat.. :321GFY

Canadians overwhelmingly believe President George W. Bush lied to justify the Iraq war and their own government was wise to stay out of the conflict, a new poll suggests.

Two-thirds (67 per cent) of adult Canadians said they agreed with the statement that Mr. Bush "knowingly lied to the world to justify his war with Iraq" a year ago, The Globe and Mail-CTV News poll says.

Moreover, almost three-quarters (74 per cent) of the poll respondents said the federal government made the right decision by not joining the U.S.-led coalition that invaded Iraq, the polling data show.

DCI? LOL.... AMAZING how someone can think France Russia and Germany agreed that IRAQ "had" WMDs... and dont realize that Tenet was twisting the truth (if he said it).. and should have said those countries admit of a strong possibily that IRAQ has WMDs...

Has for lying... well... we already know about Bush saying that Alquaida and Saddam were linked togheter.. without any proofs while experts agree that its very unlikely... Same thing with WMDs...

No they *thought* Iraq had WMD's with caveats. As it has turned out most of the information was based on human intelligence which many people were sceptical of.

Of course none of the caveats were presented to the public. It was all presented as hard facts.
