:tongue Why the fuck is the UK getting away so light with the terrorist attacks?

You'd think the UK would be second in line for huge terrorist mayhem, after the US.

Yeah and dont forget Aus.

Our PM brown noses to bush liek it's goin out of fashion - he said we'd follow the US no matter what action they took.

French intelligenece has told Australia's securities that there are attacks planned here later in the year.

Not surprising when you consider that :
we're always amongst if not the first to send in troops (our SAS is touted as being one of if not the best special operations group)

We have companies here like INCAT that are designing and constructing a new fleet of ships for the US navy

We have 2 ports here being used by US nuke powered ships on an almost year round basis

Our nearest neighbour is Indonesia - a country with a population 3 times bigger than us - and all muslim

If england don't cop it next - it will be us

Experience. The UK has been battling Irish terrorism for the past century. Also, having run a world wide empire, they've had to deal with all kinds of native unrest.

MI5 kicks ass and Scotland Yard kick ass - that's why there have been no attacks. The Spanish are not as experienced, neither the US

I agree and disagree
yes they are experieneced because of IRA etc..
but as for having experience from runnign an empire - let's not forget that at the height of their empire - most of their countries were full of natives beaten into submission with only a blowdart to defend themselves.

No they're not. Australia and France are. The UK is of little importance to the terrorists right now. They're most probably not planning any big attack on the UK.

That would be a mistake by terrorists & something to take advantage of as the UK is capable of dealing with problems. I think you are short sighted though if you really think that terrorists are not planning attack/s on the UK.

they will attack where they can do the most damage

ie: a country not prepared for it (read: australia)

Besides:
the attack on Spain was right before the election.

Australia is having an election soon also

One of the East-European states may be next, like Poland.

The Polish government was a strong supporter of the war and they are an easier target than one of the states with more advanced anti-terrorism units.

A mosque in Finsbury Park, London, is the main centre of Al-Qaeda in the West, they have a huge ammount of muslims there, many radical, so a big attack will deffinately not surprise me.

And I think Roger is wrong, France will not be high on the list after the stand they took against the USA

And they did such a good job of it, too! The British are soft when it comes to dealing with the likes of the IRA.

In a video message Al Qaeda mentioned the ban of headscarfs in France, something which they find unacceptable.

I think if France or Germany are attacked, there will be some big changes. If either is attacked, both France and Germany will realise just how crazy these fuckers are. I can see a lot more of Europe getting involved if one of them was attacked.

Like people have said the experience with the IRA means the UK are probably the most prepared in the world.

I remember when I first went there years ago, and was looking for a fucking rubbish bin in one of the underground stations... Of course they don't have any.

"The decision of the French president to issue a law to prevent Muslim girls from covering their heads in schools is another example of the Crusader's malice, which Westerners have against Muslims," the voice said in Al-Arabiya's tape. "This envy boils in their hearts and overflows in their chests and they pass it on to the generations."

Not a chance of hitting the UK, too many Arabs living there.

Australia is more likely to be the next target

That's the point. Terrorists don't want that. France have plenty of Muslims and Al-Qaeda wants that community to be oppressed in order to get themselves some new recruits.

That's exactly why Al-Qaeda will attack them. Gotta unite the west against muslims and muslims against the west. That's Al-Qaeda's goal.
