See Stuy, it's comments like "Guess I'm doomed" that are going to stand in your way. Those statements are a turn off. You have it right that the consensus says that you need to be confident. Women can smell confidence a mile away. In most cases if you are out having a good time laughing and all that stuff, that exudes confidence. Not being pushy is a good thing too. Women like a challange. (and NO that does not mean we like to be treated like shit. Just the women with low self esteem put up with that shit)
