I'd never own a gun . I don't want too end up shooting somebody over some adrenaline rush . This can only give you a bad idea ... If I want protection I'l get some dogs . Not guns.

when i been in army - ak72 been VERY old.

but alot of time passed away from my army days.

He said he got the gun that cheap, but the current stock and grip that you see on it he added himself for about $70 and the scope cost probably $75 - $150. But a new stock AK with the wood stock and grip is about $300 to $350 if you get one that takes high capacity mags. You can get an AK that only takes up to 10rd clips for about $260.

I have no idea why anyone would want fully automatic AK-47 in the house. It's a very dangerous gun. It bursts it's standart load of 30 rounds in 3 seconds. And 7.62 bullets fly very far piercing walls like paper. You can kill some of your neighbours just being not carefull.

Indeed it's old. It was adopted for service with the Soviet Army in 1949. And I reffering to it's name, I think it was invented in 1947.

And you are wrong about ak72 - there is no such a model. 5.45 model is named AK-74 and became available at 1974

Yeah, they were mainly designed for protective details, nice idea on paper, but a real bitch to aim.

What I can't figure is why you guys are buying guns now, even for $300 when the AWB sunsets in a few months, then you can buy them with all the goodies that the tree hugging gun-grabbers think are so bad.

AK 47 is an awesome weapon, I had the chance to fire a few shots from one in Bosnia in 1994, a nice weapon!!
