Fed up with my pricey car ins. Need suggestions!

I have been with Allstate for many years and their rates keep increasing. I know increased auto rates are inevitable, however, I have a 2001 Jetta, I am 30 and never had a ticket or accident.

Does $99 a month sound high to you?

Thanks!
~Taylor

Sounds like a fairly low price to me, maybe that's just because i'm from NY.

Don't want to hijack your thread, but I need to find new insurance too - being dropped by State Farm later on this month for too many tickets!

That said, before they dropped me the rate I had from State Farm was great - about $70 a month for '97 Rav4 with high liablilty limits, I am 31. Without the high liability coverage it would have been about $55. Then again I am in the boonies so that probably has something to do with it...

I'm with Geico........I live in Miami, I have a new convertable Beemer, and the rates are STILL reasonable.

That says a LOT!

I paid roughly about $6K for car insurance last year, with allstate. This year I'm going with geico and its coming in closer to $2500. Nice savings if you ask me. Could had it at $1700, but long story. Anyway, its better than $6K.

geico is only good if you've got a shiny record. if you've got tickets, get ready for some serious old-fashioned ass fucking.

i called them once, and they wanted $400 more for JUST LIABILITY on a 6-month period than i could get anywhere else with FULL COVERAGE.

fuck them in the ass, i'll not do biz with them.

progressive is great, and good rates. although it went up a bit when i moved in town.

but i've got a car they only charge me $36 for 6 months of comprehensive on
