those DVD rips on those sites, is it legal?

do they just rent a video, encode it in AVI, watermark it deluxepass.com and upload it there?

or do they buy license for it and where?

The movies are ripped by DP

Content without licenses aren't tolerated by the DP guys.

DP encodes, rips and gives to the webmaster based on a credit system which you get with sales. Clement is top notch. In fact he mailed me a warning to remove a movie cause there was a dispute between the photog and distributor, not illegal in anyway. Good people

i signed up for them cause I wanted one video that was used in an advertisement for one of their sub sites...
i've looked through god knows how many of their sites including the one the video was originally advertising, and i'll be fucked if I can't find the fucking thing anywhere.

but i've gotten suitable alternatives : )

the only part that sucks is that for every new site you enter you've gotta re-enter your user/pass.

should be fucking global.
