It will be a very close election as everyone is still entrenched and polarized in their political beliefs since the last one........

Where the Bush camp has it on Kerry is they have a huge warchest of $$$$$$$ for negative ads.........but Kerry will crush him in the debates.......

Means a close election.

Banshee, in a perfect world you'ld be dead on balls accurate.

But this ain't a perfect world. It's a world where CRIME PAYS BIGTIME.

Get it? CRIME PAYS. Cheating is the rule of thumb and there is honor amongst theives.

I remember back in the early 80's a news story where guys had stashed gold/silver from almost 100 years earlier stolen by ex confederate soldiers in hopes of another civil war. People won't let shit sit, stink and rot. Just think what else is out there.

By mid summer when Kerry's approval ratings are up the Republicans will tear him a new one with some smear campaign. They're working on it now by exposing that his Grandad was Jewish. They did the same thing to Gen. Clark when he was wayyy ahead. America ain't gonna vote in a guy who's even remotely Jewish although they'll blare 'Elvis' records non-stop and he was Jewish on his mom's side.

This election is gonna be the nastiest thing down to the wire. Kerry could even choose Batman as his running mate and the only way he'd win is by an act of God at a minimum.

Logic and debates says the race SHOULD be close and Kerry SHOULD win.

But the same indicators were in Gore's favor too. Until he chose a Jewish man as his running mate. Gore shoulda won but look at what happened.

Crime makes the world go round. The only way to stay above water in the U.S. is to either shut up and let the crooks do what they do best so they won't turn on you or be a criminal.

Sucks don't it?

No one will win the upcomming election by a landslide.
Certainly not Bush!

Bush is in trouble for many reasons already posted. But another reason he is in trouble is because the Democractic base is FINALLY energized. This primary season featured the highest turnout of Democratic voters since 1981! The democrats TRULY hate Bush and will make sure they VOTE this time as opposed to sitting on their butts at home.

In addition, there are many MODERATE Republicans as well as CONSERVATIVE Republicans (the conservatives do not like Bush's high spending ways) who are not going to vote for Bush either.

Combine the terrible Iraqi war, the economy, lack of jobs, lack of medical coverage with the fact that last month the United States suffered it's largest balance of trade deficit EVER while the United States economic deficit continues to baloon setting dubious records for the highest deficits EVER!

And the stock market has lost over 500 points already this week.
Why, because consumer confidence is WAY down! Why is it down, because they do NOT believe the economy is in good shape and will not get better any time in the near future.

These are facts..not opinions.

I was right about Gore vs. Bush when I said, 8 months prior to the election, it would be one of the closest elections in US history..........everyone thought I was crazy and Gore would landslide it.

I think I'm right about this one too............Kerry will handily take California and NY, and dominate on the Eastern seaboard......just like Gore did. Bush will take the south. This will be very similar to the last election, except for a few factors..........this time, Bush is the front runner, this time there is a real hatred towards Bush in about 20% of the voting public.......and this time, Kerry won't be so wooden as Gore was. What the Democrats have against them is they aren't a governing party coming off a strong economy.........plus they don't have much $$$$$$ in the warchest.

It'll be more interesting than you think Greg B. when you map things out state by state. The key once again will be those midwest industrial states like Michigan and Ohio, etc.

As for Kerry, he sounds like belledare from the conehead. I don't understand how the unions are supporting him so much. The dude is a billionaire who lives in a 23 bedrooms house and probably has much disdain for the little people.

Probably because they base their opinions on facts and what Kerry has been proven to fight for, not hypothetical "probably" situations you made up in your own mind. So he's rich, does that mean he hates the little guy? No, it means he doesn't have to whore himself out to big business like Bush does. Kerry could buy and sell the entire Bush family and it's going to make him a great President. I can't wait.

I could agree with you Joesho, but we're not playing on a fair field anymore. That shit that happened in Florida during the last election was pathetic. It was a rip off. As crooked as the Kennedy election.

That is guaranteed to not happen again. Hanging chads have been made a thing of the past, FL has worked overtime to eliminate any paper getting in the way of how their votes go (including stoopid paper trail that losers would just use to waste court time) and they promise that the database login password to their new electronic-only vote has only been shared with those with a "need to know" :winkwink:
