definate (sp?)

What's the point of repeatedly putting (sp?) next to a word you don't know if you spelled correctly or not?

If you're not sure if you're spelling it right, qhy not look it up real quick so you can start spelling it right and stop using (sp??)

Not saying I have the best spelling myself... I never went to school and I type fast and sloppy.

But if I KNOW I am unsure about how to spell a word I'll look it up before I (sp?) it.

Really? That's interesting, since you spelled "definite" wrong.

It was intentional.

Words preceding (sp?) usually are spelled wrong.

I'm just trying to make a suggestion or a point here.. if you're going to take the time every time you spell commonly used words like definite to put a little (sp?) after them, why not look them up so you can learn once and for all how to spell them.

because we know anyone with half a brain will get the jist of what we're trying to say and by putting (sp?) afterwards you are admitting you dont know how to spell the word offhand in lieu of making an ass out of yourself pretending to know how to spell something you don't know...

Ah, alright. You are forgiven then.

Using Google to checkis faster for me I think.

I have a one-click dictionary on my mozillla googlebar, but I rarely (if ever) use it for checking spelling. I do use it when going after definitions though.

But why pretend? It's not like the answer is far away... and after awhile that list of words you used to put (sp?) after gets shorter and shorter.

I think (sp?) is just as bad spelling it wrong.

It's like saying... I'm conscious about my spelling, but not enough to look this word up so I can quit (sp?)'ing it.

This came to mind because I was reading a thread somewhere else and a person had a couple (sp?)'s in the same post for the same word....

it reminded me of an ex girlfriend who wrote me a similar letter once.. there must have been like 10-20 (sp?)'s in that letter.

Don't get mad at us because your girlfriend was stoopid (sp?).
