I wanted to get one for the longest time, and they're awesome for short periods of time, but if you sit on one for a few hours, your knees will start to hurt like mad

The knee chairs work. I swap back and forth when my back is sore. Or I did. My back has been good for quite a while now but that did help.

You can move around at all, to change positions.
