    spamarrest clone?

Wondering if anybody knows of any spamarrest-type script that run server-side? Not looking for something with a potential customer-base in mind.. really only looking for the functionality of a "gateway" script if you will.

Basically, all incoming email would be piped through a script. This script would then check whether or not the sender of the mail is "verified", and if not verified it would reply back to the sender with a verification email. They would then have to click a link to verify themselves, and ideally would get an image on the resulting page with a random 4-digit verification code. To prevent bots from auto-verifying.

So pretty much what spamarrest does.. but this would run on your own server and not require a subscription to an outside service.

I've seen a couple similar scripts on HotScripts, but most of them are full blown "services" for people looking to take on customers and offer spam protection.

I imagine there are some scripts out there for this. But just haven't found them yet Any suggestions?

I was wondering this the other day myself. I'm thinking Sourceforge would have something like that in the works if not already released?

    Cheers,

ASSP looks really good in terms of being a server-side spam blocker, but not sure it acts as the type of "verification gateway" that I'm looking for.

I'm not necessarily looking for something that flags mail as spam (I use spamassassin for that), I'm moreso looking for something that requires human interaction to even allow their mail to reach the end user.

Maybe ASSP does this and I'm missing something? But from looking through their docs, it seems the program is more of a spam identifier: http://assp.sourceforge.net/fom/cache/26.html

We have a new product we will be releasing shortly for this

          http://www.spamwize.com

It has a few unique features, such as:

          * unlimited disposable emails ([email protected] goes to you)
          * 'groups' - you can belong to other 'groups' and get the benefit of their whitlists (good for companies)

If anyone wants to promote this, contact me and we'll work a deal.

Appreciate the response Steve... but looking for something runs solely on MY server ;) Not looking for anything subscription based.
