Will you ever trust a sponsor program using MPA2 again????
I'm sure that you've heard of the sextronix thing by now.. unless you live under a rock.
Well, MPA2 comes with those shaving #'s as DEFAULT settings. it's not a module.. it's built it. What does that mean? It means that every single sponsor out there has those settings as soon as they buy the software. If they are true business men, and change those settings to turn it off... it still leaves a TON of people not trusting them just because they see they're using MPA2. I know of a couple of them that trust me enough to let me into their admin areas to let me see that they indeed do have the shaving info right there, PAGE ONE of their admin. And there's nothing they can do about it but to put in 0's (to disable it). Does this Sextronix scandle hurt Sextronix's reputation.... or the reputation of EVERY SINGLE SPONSOR that uses MPA2??? |

It hurts MPA2. But everyone knows that setting is there and anyone who uses MPA2 can turn it on....

I've been wary of MPA2 sponsors ever since I found out this feature was available and turned on by default, however cascading processing is such a useful tool and conversions are usually way better as a result, sometimes you have to take the plunge and trust someone. Any sponsor can shave if they don't use third party stats, and as we found out with PerfectionCash, even sponsors can shave using third party...
Let's face it, the world looks at us as the scum of the earth, and like the greedy douche bags that we are, we live up to the reputation. ![]()

Yes, MPA2 is professional affiliate software. It is not MPA2's fault sponsors shave, it is the sponsor's fault. All affiliate software includes a shave feature.

They are my favorite... I heard most of them had their settings like this just to make it look as if they have the best industry ratio

MPA2 comes with it turned on by default and set to what they assume most sponsors would want to use it at. |

The daft thing is that so many people assume companies not using MPA2 are somehow 'safer'. You just gotta laugh

And yes, MPA2 is buggy as hell.... I wonder who's to blame for these stats... the sponsor or the software? ![]() |

So, conversely, would it be a selling point (SCA) for an affiliate that advertised it did NOT use MPA2? But yeah, it's all who you trust, I guess.

dont blame the software, blame the company that uses that option of the software...
do you think that other software doesnt have the shaver? common.. all sponsers with custom software you would trust more then sponsers using mpa2? if you are happy with the bottom line then well be happy.. cuz in the end thats the only thing that counts... but yeah shaving sucks but dont blame it on the software. |

you can shave even if the company uses just third party stats I wouldnt not use a program because they dont use third party stats
and I surely wouldnt not use a program because they use MPA2 I would look more at the reputation of the owners of the company and see what other people say about them I would want to send my traffic to a program that has a good reputation and is known to pay on time |

Anyway, I agree fully... I know some programs that have the shave option turned off, as I said. And I trust them. But even you and I can't know them all... and we're not newbies. So someone who joins in the industry tomorrow, and comes to a board and sees all of this.... what will they think? |

trust em or not, mpa2 or not.
trust a program when you track your own out going clicks and they match the program's stats. i do this for every fucking hit that my sites send out, and the only stats that match my click tracking is ccbill. i could name a dozen programs that shave according to my stats, some run mpa2 some dont. fuck yall shaven fucks. EDIT: iv seen almost 60% shave from my tracking.. thats fucking SAD.

Medium Pimpin Program Announcement Heads up to all Medium Pimpin Affiliates, As you know, we use the MPA2 program, within the next week or so, we will be migrating to a new program. All individual MPA2 links codes will be automatically redirected utilizing Apache's mod_rewrite function, therefore, you will not need to change any link codes or hosted galleries you currently have live. This will remain in effect permanently. All current webmaster data will be imported into the new program, including all rebills. There should only be two things that will affect you as a webmaster during the migration: 1) You will potentially have to login with your webmaster code (i.e.,100000) versus your username. 2) While all current MPA2 links will be redirected to your new MP link code automatically, it will be best for you to use the new link codes for all new links you create going forward. These will be available on the MP site once we launch in the coming days. All payouts will continue to be paid out by us on time as always. We have been working diligently over the last 30 days to get this right, and make it as seamless as possible for you, our valued webmasters. We also have major re-designs, new sites and plenty of new things ready to go, we have held back until we had the MPA2 issue resolved. Look for big things coming very, soon! If you have any questions please let us know.

Oh, by the way... we're busting our ass setting up a new program. Due to so many webmaster complaints, we will NOT be using MPA2. We'd much rather have that extra "edge" of trust with our webmasters... and not to mention, we've seen some very fishy numbers with a couple "popular" MPA2 based programs.

it's quite ironic that the programs I send traffic to, that use MPA2 are my worst converting sponsers. Go figure..
btw dose MPA2 give the option t set the shave for each and every affiliate or does everyone get fucked equally?
