As long as you use a dialer according to the latest rules of the German RegTP (www.regtp.de), your charge back risk will be minimal.

Howdy...
Direct Debit works very well as a payment method for Germany. Dialers are good in certain situations (not the auto ones),however they have no recurring billing.

In regards to credit cards being used...
Their is approx. a 20-30% CC penetration in Germany, so Direct Debit is the best billing method in my eyes. Germany does not use CC's like we do in the US.
