That jaw, broken or not is gonna hurt like a bitch for a while. As for the teeth, insist they try everything to save them. You can always get them capped later if they discolor. If they are unable to save them, insist they replace them with the false teeth that are actually screwed into the jaw. At your age it is best to avoid getting a bridge, they tend to wear the teeth on either side down which creates an ever increasing problem.
Hope you both feel back to normal soon. |

Hairline fracture in the jaw...6 loose teeth...the dentist says they could 'tighten' back up naturally (I go back in for more X-rays on Tuesday) or I could need root canals, caps and the works, if so...about $15,000...calling the most WEASELY looking attorney I can think of...the Law Offices of Larry H Parker....

You've just proven yourself to be an extremely selfish person, despite all your denials. |
Take care and get well soon.

Don't stress about your teeth, I'm sure you'll keep that gorgeous smile. 10 years ago I was in an accident where I hit a tree going 55+ mph with no seatbelt and my face bounced off the steering wheel and then my head got lodged in the windshield. (Broke my Nose, my eyes were swollen shut, my face was full of glass and Ripped my Hair out) HOWEVER----- My teeth were like weeble wobbles and the Dentist made me molds to hold them in place and I still have the same chompers! You won't feel too hot, but I'm hoping and banking on the fact that you will be OK and feeling better soon! =)

Get well soon Kayla and don't worry about paying me back for the few bucks I sent.

Does it hurt when I make you laugh? *poke* *poke* You just get well soon. Then have that weasel lawyer sue everyone that was within a 5 mile radius of that accident :D |

I've found that EMTs and even ER people don't for sure get it right every time. Won't go into my details here. I'm sure you'll have follow up for those teeth as you said. Hope you see your regular doctor to make sure you're all right long term. Just concerned - ditto what Persian Kitty posted above. My personal advice is not to accept any settlement without an attorney. Get a lawyer now? Might be a good idea. You don't know all the details on what you'll need and the attorney would look out for your interests. |
Hope you're feeling better soon

Hope you're starting to feel better, hun. Sounds like you were lucky though. :angel
Might want to pick up some protein powder (low carb) for shakes until your jaw heals. I like the Optimum Whey chocolate ones. |
Kayla, warm wishes for a full and speedy recovery from Mishi and I!
I'm frankly amazed you're back up and posting. Shit, if it were me I'd be a whiny little biatch laying in bed and demanding to be pampered. You're a true trooper. :) |
