ahhh fuck insurance doesn't cover the smashed window of my beemer.

fucking cunts.. I've got like a $6500 basic excess. how ridiculous someone can vandalise my car to the tune of $6500 and I have to pay it myself - cunts.. I knew I had a high excess but I thought that was only if I caused the accident not unavoidable third party damage.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I barely got over the deductible when I wrecked mine and I had to fight with the insurance company to cover it.

damn!

I'm mainly pissed because when I rang up after it happened they said it would be $300 excess.. which would have been cool.. 1-2k's worth of damage.. i pay large fees.. should cover it... now I have to pay for the whole fucking thing.. I mean I know it's all fair and square in the contract but don't they realise how much they'll miss out on when i move my business, home, contents and car insurance over to someone else over the long term?

If you live in a high population area, you might get lucky and come across a fresh wreck or a theft recovory that has what you need.

New cars get fucked up all the time. Just got to get lucky and find one that isn't hit in a spot that you need.

Well yeah, of course....some bondo and a few coats of wax and that car became an eBay legend

Most of the old timers here know the story.

Bhutos, I feel for you and I didn't mean to hijack yoru thread. $6500 is way high for a deductible around here. I carry $500 for everything with $0 deductible for glass coverage. The higher the deductible, the less the premiums are since you're absorbing the risk yourself but I don't believe I've ever seen a policy with one as high as $6500.

hi-jack away i don't mind - your story is more impressive im only whining.. see i pay $300 a month and I believe my fucking higher rates should cover this sort of bullshit... i mean i understand having high rates - I just don't think you should have high rates AND an insane excess.. shouldn't the higher rates cancel that shit out - isn't that what paying a bunch up front is all about? bleh... otherwise whats the point of being insured? i'd insure it only for theft or total write-off and save my fucking money.. something like 90% of all claims would have to be under $6500...
