What kind of fish do you have?

I had a tank full of cichlids. Nice fuckin fish but theyre too aggressive. They broke the heater and I woke up one day and they were like almost dead. GRRRR, nice fish though. If you have any, what kind do you have?

A neighboor gave me a zebra Cichlid coupling once. Ignorant as to their nature at that time, I put them in the anything-goes tank. Within two weeks they had nested and killed all the "intruders," including the plants.

I had two siamese fighting fish in a glass bowl with a glass divider going through the middle... Then I got bored and took the divider out so one would kill the other, but they never fought.

One of them got sick and died a week later though.

I had a Piranha tank once. Damn nice fish.

I fed them frozen bull heart bricks, with maggots for desert when I felt they deserved it.

That's because they only will fight if they see eachothers as equals. In your case the fish had no doubts as to who the dominant male was, but the weak one still died from stress though.

I used to have a nice freshwater tank. I got rid of it after a few years though...too much work.

19 Koi in a 7500 water feature

A 45 gallon freshwater hex tank (son's) with huge gouramis, a pleco, severums and silver dollars.

A 50 gallon African Cichlid tank (son's) with just a few fish (it's still cycling).

140 gallon salt tank with a purple tang, blue tang, harwicke wrasse, voltan lionfish, pork fish, maroon clown, naso tang, and a miniata.

Yeah, mine is a 25 gallon with African Cichlids. Watch out, make sure your heater is durable and attached properly

That's really nice. I am considering getting a saltwater tank. It's more expensive, but makes for less work in the long run provided you have a large enough tank.
