    Dating VS. reality

    The way things are heading with dating sites, it appears that surfers cannot get enough. Everyone has their own dating preference and so the opportunity presents itself to be innovative and create websites to appeal to as many niches as possible. In my opinion, reality is in the same boat as targeted niches in that these types of sites present innovative ideas that grab surfers? interest and for the webmasters it is a win-win situation given that they already possess the keywords/placements from the older niche sites.

    What are your thought on this?

                              Dating is a phenom it seems, keeps growing, and i see an increase in television ads recently as well. So there must be some money being made somewhere along the line.
                              Setting up nicehe sites within the categories you mentioned both dating and reality certainly seems like a good idea. Niche targetted traffic is where it is at.

                                      Not to mention players like Adult Friend Finder have setup tours based on niches as well such as asian, mature, indian, goth, etc... It only takes one splash page to attract a niche and it works quite well. I encourage dating programs to create multiple front-ends like this to micro-niche themselves out to the general population who have already seen the same dating sites over and over.

                                                          Dating is real. You solicit yourself for dates, and look for others who are soliciting themselves.

                                                          Reality sites (like College Fuck Fest for example) present real situations that the surfer can fantasize about participating in.

                                                          To me, they are two different niches altogether, requiring essentially different traffic to properly convert them.

                                                                                                                                          Can you post a quotation from Jupiter or Forrester regarding this? Quite simply said, I've seen the sales figures of certain dating sites and they by far outweigh those of adult pornographic sites (in my opinion). I'd love to see a stat from one of the major research companies to contradict this.

Bandwidth with all those pics and most give at least two weeks free and then getting the people to sign up. So the first people who go in dont only see two people . I think more niche type dating sites are needed.
