Registerfly.com is a piece of shit

Their 24 hour support is a joke, more like 72 hours waiting for an answer.

Then is you reply back you have to wait for an additional era.

That is not the worst though, I tried to register this domain, but I got errors the entire time. They ask me to give the name of the site and they'll try it for me.

Guess what, they give me the same crap answer as to why it is not working as I had read the 20 times I tried it myself and now THE FUCKING DOMAIN IS GONE.

We already had all our designs online and ready to go. Fucking idiots.

I have transfered all my domains to them in the last couple of months - no problem at all...

and they have this nice privacy whois function...

But the personal feedback on emails lacks, that is true!

Worst of all is that the data I gave is all 100% correct, but they keep babbling on about some faxnumber that is not correct. What if you do not even have a fax, like me?

Wasn't it kind of silly for you to design the site with the domain name and all without actually owning the domain already? Almost like you're begging to fuck yourself over.

I agree though, their support can be pretty slow. But i've never had any problems with any of the registrations/renewals or other technical shit. Just the support taking a while to reply.

Yes, and no.


It is not an everyday name, all other extensions are still available.
Also, when I started designing it the domain was right there and I tried registering it right away, at the same time I was doing the translations and stuff from Dutch/English to German.

Who would have thought it takes more than week to register a name that usually just takes 5 minutes? And with 24/7 support, wouldn't it be solved within a day max? I've been going at since last wednesday.

I was told Germans trust .info the same as .de extensions, so I mighht just get the info and change de to info on my site.

One of the reasons I remain with Directnic is that it never takes long to get a response (within an hour last time I needed to write them). Unfortunately they don't have privacy whois, but make up for it in other goodies.

I agree, I'm with DN with almst all the domains as well. But they did not offer .de registrations, and being able to pay by Paypal also helps.

I have all my domains registered with them and no probs. If you couldnt register it with registerfly why the fuck did you sit there like a lump instead of going to one of the many other registars..especially if you already built the site without buying the domain....uh HELLO. Bitch all you want.. its not registerflys fault.. its your fault for not going to another registrar immediately and get that domain.. and for doing shit backwards.

Partially true. I did ask for a refund, as they had no problem cashing my money. They told me to give them my data so they could register the name for me.
Kinda stupid to go register it elsewhere at the same time.

Probably all .com domains? They are so easy nothing can go wrong with those.
Don't get me wrong, they cannot please them all. I'm just having a bad case of shitty luck on this run.

I love directnic as well, but every now and then somebody comes bitching about them as well.

Also, during the time they were going to register it for me, it disappeared from the 'available' list. My hopes are still they reserved it for me, but I doubt that.

Last week I ordered some stuff from Inktomi and now their website is taken offline, no more service and my domains were not approved yet.

Tried contacting them but no response.

The more names who looked like it I check and are now not available all of a sudden, I get more angry. At them mostly. If they had helped me as fast as they say they do, there would have been no problems, but them keeping me on a leash for 4 days is no the result of all the names being gone.

I have about 60 domains with them and have never had a single problem in the few years I have used them. I have only needed to contact support once or twice and the response times were reasonable.

For domains and hosting and processing I prefer companies with serious names. I couldnt believe when people were shocked a named like whoa went out of business, having good hosting is serious I want a serious name. When new third party processors come out with names like beaver pay or sunshine billing, they maybe good but it makes me nervous.
