My daughter was 9 when I set her up with an email addie of her own. She had her own brand new Dell in her room, cable internet, the whole nine yards. She used her email for things like writing to her grandparents and great-grandparents (yes, my 80 yr old grandparents have a computer and use the internet). I'd be pretty pissed if she started getting porn spam in her email.
Not saying this is ligit, but who knows. I get nasty dollars (from affiliates, not ND) spam in my isp email all the time, so it's not a stretch for me to believe. *shrug*

Actually, kids will have Internet access whether you provide it to them at home or not. My mom works at a school and most of the teachers assign Internet research at the school library. Also, all the kids recieve their own school e-mail account (hell, we had these back when I was in high school). Unless you go to school in the ghetto, you probably have computers in every classroom, computer labs, and school library computers, all hooked up to the Internet and all used by children every day.

And yes, the schools have filters in place, but these kids are always getting in trouble for getting around the filters and getting caught.

My daughter had a computer in her room at 7 with internet hookup, and email. She has bookmarks, and is not allowed to visit any site I don't bookmark for her. She is also not allowed to check her mail until I have gone through it first. Very easy to keep her from seeing things I don't want her to see. If you are in this biz, and let a child check their own mail, then don't come here bitching.

With all that said, the spammers still fucking suck, and DO harm this business!

Hmm... I get spam to my affiliate account emails too, but I'm not sure what that has to do with his post. He's saying it came to his 7 year old's email. And not that stuff like that doesn't happen - you just have to consider the source here.

Do a search under his name and you'll see what I mean. I don't believe it for a second, and ANY sponsor that suspended an affiliate's account based on what VV says, is crazy.
