I'm a couple of blocks from the beach. I couldn't imagine being where there isn't water. I spent a winter in Great Lakes, Ill. Saw enough snow to last a lifetime.:)

I live on the beach ( long beach washington )

at first i thought it would be fun but unless you like wind ... rain .. and sand ... then your not missing much

sure there are times when it is soo nice out there ... like right now ;) and the summer but your not missin much

I have never seen the ocean but I have seen Colorado mountains when I was a child. I have been to Oklahoma, Missouri, Nebraska, Arkansas (briefly) and Iowa. I have been through enough thunderstorms that bring deadly lightning and mighty twisters. Yet, I am still amazed when I see the bluejays that marks the arrival of spring.

Once you see it you won't want to go back to Iowa. I got stuck in Iowa for a few hours once, I was ready to commit suicide.

Damn, I thought I was deprived living 40 mins from the beach :(
