Apple Fans are Freaks
For Ulan McKnight, it's being the first customer to enter Apple Computer Inc.'s flagship San Francisco store -- after waiting two nights outside the entrance and braving the rain.
McKnight, who turned 40 Saturday, was joined by hundreds of others who wrapped around a city block in the city's prime shopping district for the opening of Apple's two-story store, the computer maker's fifth major store worldwide. The glitzy store opening was kicked off with loud music and a ribbon-cutting with Apple Chief Executive Steve Jobs and San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom. ----------------------------------------------- From Cnn. 2 days in the rain to just enter the new store? I would have waited to get into this store, but not any of the others. This time they had a special deal for the first people getting in where they sold you a mystery bag of stuff for $250 that would contain up to $1000 worth of Apple stuff.
