It's an intelligence wasteland. All threads with any semblance of intelligent replies usually happen by accident.

If you try to force it out of them, you'll be very dissapointed. Most of them can't post more than a one line reply for fear that it will take time away from their board whoring asses (Must sell their signatures you know).

Post some naked pics, or callout someone and piss all over them.

That's what this place is all about.
:thumbsup

aw.. come on now. they can't all be that bad. surely some on here have a sense of the world around them. they all can't have their heads up their asses.

You're right actually. There are some intelligent people on this board.

I'm afraid most of them are scared to post however, out of fear of being flamed by the monosyllabic crowd who truly have nothing to add.

Whether or not Bush can get an amendment to the constitution really does not matter. So long as he can convice the 2/3 of the sheeple that don't want gay marriage to vote for him, he will win. Then he has four more years to push as far as it will go.

A lady bought a new $100,000 Mercedes and proudly drove it off the showroom floor to take home. Halfway home, she attempted to change radio stations and saw that there appeared to be only one station. She immediately turned around and headed back to the dealer.
Once at the dealer, she found her salesman and began to excitedly explain that her radio was not working, and they must replace it since she only had one radio station. The salesman calmed her down and told her that her car radio was voice-activated, and that she would only need to state aloud the type of music that she wanted and the car would find it.
She got into the car and started the engine and then said the word "country," and the radio changed to a station playing a George Strait song. She was satisfied and started home. After a while she decided to try out the radio and said "rock 'n' roll;" the radio station changed and a song by the Rolling Stones came from the speakers. Quite pleased, the woman continued driving.
A few blocks from her house, another driver ran a light causing her to slam on her brakes to avoid a collision. The woman angrily exclaimed, "Asshole!" ...The radio cut over to George Bush's press conference.

Where did I even imply that I have any love whatsoever for Bush? Stay in Canada, please. We don't need any more idiots down here. We have reached our limit.

You criticize other nations for criticizing the U.S. government. I point out that not everyone who has a problem with the current administration is foreign.

Now you're implying that you agree with me, and calling me an idiot.

The world is justified in its concerns about the aggressive, right-wing turn the United States has taken in the last few years. You are living proof that the U.S. has reached its idiot quota.

You and Dubya should get together. Like you, he feels no need to concern himself with the input of those who disagree with him. And while I'm sure that my time, thought and words are wasted on you, perhaps someone more intelligent will read them and be enlightened.

It's all political fluff to appease his ultra right wing supports before the election.

Your last point is true -- Georgie is using the issue of 'marriage and our culture' being under attack to stir up both his right wing supports and the common man who can't/won't grasp the difference beteen the religious marriage act and civil marriage law. He sure doesn't want Iraq, terrorism, jobs, eduction, etc. being debated -- just those gays trying to ruin (or worse, run) the country. But, you must understand, even though there's political motives, he does believe, in his heart, he's right. He hasn't yet grasped that we don't live in a Christian democracy/republic (however you define it).

Your first statement -- BEWARE!! Two thirds of both houses must approve an amendment. Big battle but close. It's when it comes to the states you're not looking at the facts. An amendment requires three fourths (75%) of the state legislatures approval.
How many states have already passed defense of marriage acts or taken even harsher measures -- 38. That's 76% all ready to say 'we already approve -- our vote is yes'.

So maybe like prohibition it becomes the law of the land and eventually is repealed. During those in-between years what happens?? How many Matthew Shepards or worse?? What other missuse of the Constitution might occur?? If no one speaks up when it's the non-hetros, and then no one speaks up when it's the non-traditional religious believers,
and then . . .

It's happened before. Don't think it can't happen here. If you want it, work for Georgie. If you don't -- get off your ass and do something:

<a href="http://www.house.gov/writerep/" target="_blank">Write your Representative</a><br>
<a href="http://www.senate.gov/general/contact_information/senators_cfm.cfm" target="_blank">Write your Senator</a>

Write George and let him know you will vote -- against him.

AND DO IT! VOTE!

Jay Jay (no sig -- this is personal)
