You had a public auction going on in that thread. Ebay in away. Then it appears you had a private conversation with Lars and made a deal?

One has to wonder, did you talk to the other players that were willing to put up serious coin? Did they have a fair shot?

I won't make $12K this month, not half. I'm not a player in this game and prolly none of my biz. Add to that - welcome to the real world.

From the outside and my point of view, it didn't look all that fair and not the best PR. Guess my point is, if you're gonna play the game that way, don't do it in public.

Your biz, but it is us little guys that help make you worth what ever you got. Your comment would be apreciated.

Commie.

webgurl 02-27-2004 11:46 PM

wow kick ass sleazy !
If i got 12k's like that i would spend it on myself i never got shit in my life , sounds selfish but i would buy myself something nice :thumbsup
cheers

Right, I don't know the detials. I assure you, I'm not the only one that noticed though. Getting in a pissing contest with you is stupid - I lose.

So I'll take the flame on page 2 of a thread - knowing that I spoke my mind.

Still wish you the best though and admire your success.

Signed,

An idiot seeking his 2nd grade teacher - you do have a way with words.

Don't worry about it man.
No matter what they tell ya or want ya to believe you know what could be done with 12K.

Was it a waist? Yes.
By all definition.

Dollar by dollar, cent by cent there is no way a sig is worth such, you know and I know 12K could be dropped on over 30 Webmasters that would ride the sig and probablyh do 10 times better.
Hell drop it on a campaign that spans most the boards accross the net, but Lar's already covers those realms probably.

SO it must come down to friendship and what some define as a business relationship. I thought about this someit still does not make sense to spendsuch ona small area 468x60 but then ya would be amazed at some things costing as much back before the net bust.

Even if I had cash flowing out the fucken bank, I am aconservativewhen itcomes to coin and would strategicallyplace the cash where needed.

Sleazy dont need 12k nah he don't.
Larsdoes not either.

TO maggots like us we got no choice but hate on such a gross and flagrant disregard for money.
Peons have no choice its the way things are.

So enjoy the cave and crying babies next store or your sick family sounds cuz thats just the way it is.

Thanks for pointing that out for your sake. I was telling ya what it looked like from the outside. If you don't think that doesn't matter or others didn't notice, you're missing a point. They just didn't speakup on the board. Sleazy, the point you just made about the others in the industry and covering the bases needed to be made. I'm not the only idiot.

To be honest, flames from you only help and I dig for them some times. It helps people at least remember the name.

OK, so now a fucktarded idiot looking for his 1st grade teacher.

Party on. That's all the sucking up you're getting from me tonight.

Shoehorn! 02-27-2004 11:58 PM

WOW. Congratulations man. :thumbsup

Slinx 02-28-2004 12:03 AM

12,000 USD? Holy shit.

Congratulation Sleazy! Nice extra money :thumbsup

adultvisitors 02-28-2004 12:08 AM

awesome

D-Money 02-28-2004 12:09 AM

Wow!

Congrats to Sleazy.

I feel like a big player seeing my name in the list of bidders. (it was only a $75 offer :winkwink: )

Now we can say that he's the Michael Jordon of the chat boards.

My thoughts:

Lars - You should have locked this guy on a long term contract 5 months ago. I'm sure if you offered half that price for the next 5 months he might have done it. Then again, you actually should get better exposure this way cause everyone talks about it, and it looks PLAYER for sure. You have my seal of PIMPIFIED approval.

Sleazy - I told you so. But dayam! I'm glad we gave you an award for chat board personality this year. I pick 'em well.

Lensman - You're the man for letting these webmasters sell their sigs in a free agency market place. Also a D$ award winner. POTY

And for the rest of us, we could only dream about selling our sigs for $12k (1 fuckin' month, crazy).

:2 cents:

:thumbsup

My Ideal is to have about 10K a month after tax for the rest of my life adjusted for inflation. No debt , no mortgage.

I know the number needed to get there and live til I am 85 or so.
and will still be able to leave my kid a buncha stuff when I die.

JunkyardDog 02-28-2004 12:44 AM

Congrats Sleazy and Lars. Amazing!

TrafficBuyers 02-28-2004 01:09 AM

Hey Lars thanks for the reply. :thumbsup

That's a very respectable goal.
If you were to sum it up how much would be needed to achieve those goals? How much Net Worth & Liquidity would you say that would be?

there are a lot of retirement calculators on the net you need to know or guess a few things to find that number.

how old you are now how old you gonna be at retirement how old your gonna live what interest rate will you be able to get conservitavly whats teh inflation rate going to be over time.

you slap all that crap into the computer and it will spit out a number you can play around with the variables and get a good Idea of how much you need to get the kinda money you want to make at retirement.

timboss 02-28-2004 01:23 AM

amazing

Mike-BP 02-28-2004 01:25 AM

Don't believeeverything you read on GFY :warning

Good marketing though :thumbsup

Lensman 02-28-2004 01:27 AM

I got hosed, the bidding was closed before I got a shot!

TrafficBuyers 02-28-2004 01:36 AM

That's cool. As I said before I was just curious to know at the level of someone like you would feel comfortable. Basically much would be needed to have saved and have working for them if they decided to stop working tomorrow and live comfortably? :)

I am not asking your net worth that's personal. Just your opinion

Blinked? I was actually going to do something way different for my sig this month but EscortBiz decided to renew. I am perfectly happy with what I got and I commend Sleazy for his fine showing. :thumbsup

It was not that long ago that Lars started this whole high dollar sig buying thing. Sleazy, Lars, and myself pioneered it. Things have come a long way in these short 7 months.

psyko514 02-28-2004 01:41 AM

I said it before, and I'll say it again. It's worth every freaking penny. SleazyDream owns this board.

And since he mentioned me in his post, my sig value has increased by $250. :glugglug

I grew up on welfare had an outhouse and gas lanterns for light, traveled arouynd in a vw bus growing up a real hippy. So to answer your question I feel real comfortable eating top ramen and drinking coffee with my bros and gettin my surf on. I dont live a lavish lifestyle, so I dont need a lot to cover my expenses and take vacations. Its all relative to what you need to feel ok and safe I suppose.

Not much more that I can say to that than Congratulations and Only in America :)

But I was only looking for a $ Figure LOL

Your defiantly not in the gas lanterns days anymore. King of Cams does well I am sure. :)

Still would be cool to get a $ figure.

If not no biggy. Thanks anyway.

SD or Lars if either of you don't mind saying this publicly....

Were there any other parts to the deal besides Sleazy just having the sig for the month of March?

Assuming the deal is legit, I do not believe that Lars will get 12K+ worth of return on this sig for 1 month alone.

Honestly, do you guys think that a mere sig will bring in 12K worth of new business?

Regardless, congrats on the deal.

Nonetheless, congrats on the deal.

Maybe traffic deal on the side? Maybe he does feel that he will. Can't knock a guy who is as successful as he has been...even if it seems outrageous.

teomaxxx 02-28-2004 02:46 AM

dont forget to tell your old formula to all people here that you are somebody and everyone here is just nobody.

That's true, but even very successful people make mistakes too.

I doubt the board will ever know approx how much return on investment lars gets on the sig (very hard to calculate, and who knows if it would be made public), but it's interesting without a doubt.

Brujah 02-28-2004 06:15 AM

I'm really looking forward to what you have in mind with this cam thing Lars.

WankTank 02-28-2004 07:25 AM
