Nothing personal man, good luck to Xpays :thumbsup

I wasn't trying to "come at you" ... I appreciate what you're saying.

Obviously, you need to make intelligent decisions to maximixe your profitability and run your biz.

The points you make are valid.

I'll just reiterate a couple thoughts though ...

If there were more room to play with the $$$ then my boys from XPAYS would be paying more ... they'd be paying $40 IF THEY COULD!

They got an exclusive deal to do this on the up and up ... legitimately ... and webmasters CAN make some good coin with this!

... and ...

If you don't like the payout - that's fine I guess ... either way it wouldn't hurt to put up links somewhere and test it to SEE if you could make some $$$.

The bottom line is IF YOU HAVE TRAFFIC you have surfers that WILL download this purely based on HER poularity.

Nobody is saying PUSH ALL YOUR TRAFFIC and not make $25 - $40 every place else ... just find a place on your sites where surfers will notice it, and I'm SURE you'll find some extra $$$ you weren't making previously!

:thumbsup

Hummm!

This is way different then a regular site. It could take these people 2 hours and in some cases 12 hours to finish the download. Even when the download is done, they might come back to it later and buy when it's more convenient. Let's see your numbers after 24 hours, maybe even a week later. If they click it months from now, it's still on their hard drive with your referral code.

You'll probably notice that in 12 hours you have a bunch of sales.

J$tyle$

Any idea if the results are better to throw the download at them or let them go to the page first?

J$tyle$ 02-28-2004 10:22 PM

Seems like the direct download link is killing it with the SE's ... might want to test both!

:)

J$tyle$ 02-29-2004 01:44 AM

Just got the first renewal :Graucho

So, I guess this is working nicely!

39 sales

1 renewal

I hate that one must read the fine print to realize how the low commissions for this program really are.

WTF does a 5% "processing fee" pay for? $10 bucks ALREADY seems hideously low.

However. I do see this as a great opportunity to try to gauge the money-making validity of DRM.

I'm looking forward to reading other webmasters' critique of this program in the coming week.

Woo! I have 208 sales

Now look at your stats again, carefully ... you sure you don't see a RENEWAL there?

Looks like you have 3 sales @$8.50

... and one RENEWAL sale at $4.25

When a surfer REPURCHASES ... they do it at half price if I'm not mistaken

If they only charge 5% for processing, that's awesome. Who else only charges 5%? They have a hold back reserve which you get back later on the other 10%.

So it's really $9.50 per initial sign ups, not $8.50. You'll get paid that reserve through XPays.

And J$tyle$, you're the king of CAPS. The way you use it in the subject line and body of your posts, well done. Not too many people use the caps right without looking angry all the time.

Watch the popcorn video by ParasiteTV. Gotta admit, I think she has the best video so far, though I hope mine could still win.

Ok, I see it, I had to Click another Details link.
I will give this an Honest full weeks traffic, and get back to everyone on the results...

Brujah Math
"Woo! I have 208 sales
and 16 renewals.

I made $832!"

Actual factual Math:

208 sales @ $9.50 after the 5% bank fee = $1976.00
16 renewals @ $4.50 after the 5% bank fee = $72.00

so total earnings are $2048.00

Brujah's lack of accuracy in what he published is obvious and hopefully unintentional.

Further, this will be the highest cpm anyone has ever seen- the skeptics who did 6 hr math on a 140 mb DRM download strictly exhibit their inexperience.

How do I get that deal? I am making $8.50 a sale.

I would get $1836 in the above deal.

J$tyle$ 03-01-2004 01:10 PM

You actually have that deal ... If I'm not mistaken, there's $1.00 held in reserves against chargebacks that you get back.

email customer support cs AT xpays dot com

... and I'm sure they can clear it up and answer any further questions!
