Stopping spam!
What programs / script do you guys use?
My inbox is just getting to much these days and I don't see it stopping for a while yet. I've looked at mailwasher and it seemed 'ok' but this looks better http://www.spamarrest.com Anyone else used it or somthing like it? ![]() |

I've been using Netscape Mail (with the new junkmail filter) and Norton's and I've been spam lite and worm-free since

If you have dedicated server with any Linux/FreeBSD/Unix system, http://spamassassin.org/ will help you. It kill over 80-85% of spam with default settings.
And you can write your own rules, and get much better spam filtering. |

http://www.spampal.org/ is my favorite. It will filter email through multiple blocklists( SPEWS, SBL, Spamcop, etc), then runs the remaining stuff through a Regex filter. It also has a Baysian filter plugin.
Great white listing features, should work with any POP3 client , and its free! Written by anti-spammer James Farmer. ![]() |

I just use Outlook's way of deleting mails with certain subject lines. Works fine for me. you would end up losing 80% of adult webmaster related emails if you used a spam filter
